Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park, Dolores, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I had heard many people recommend this campground and we finally got a chance to come! We were absolutely delighted with it!! Over 40 sites are right on the banks of the river and all of the sites are large and have grassy areas next to them. We had phone service and good wifi. We are planning our next trip here already!! We camped at Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

J & H RV Park (55 + Park), Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here two separate nights as a way point. Very Clean, nice park. Large sites for our 35 foot 5th wheel. Lots of little extras around the park including a paved pot luck area and a couple gathering places. Clean all over. The dog walk was small but had grass and was clean. Lots of shade trees. Have I said that it was clean? Owners were very nice and have owned this for 35 years!! We will stay here again. (A little pricey but worth it!) We camped at J & H RV Park (55 + Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Pam's RV Park, Helper, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Ok, this was an interesting park. Only about a dozen sites. Very small. They held one large site for us. Pleasant owner, lots of grass and surprisingly good wifi. Gravel full hook up site. We didn't need the dump so we were charged $20 instead of $25!! That being said we almost did not even turn up the road it was on since it was a dead end. Definitely call ahead to assure a site and get directions. We camped at Pam's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very pleasant park. Trees, grass, blacktop and good wifi. Pleasant staff and clean. Far enough off the interstate to be quiet but not too far. We would stay here again. We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Detroit Lake State Park, Detroit, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The site we stayed in was full hook up, 30 amp. Loved this campground. We were here off season so, though almost full, it was very quiet. Lots of trees and shade and a quick walk to the lake. Site was very un-level but worth it. We would definitely stay here again!! We camped at Detroit Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Gem State RV Park and Campground (formerly Mountain Home KOA), Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Good overnight park. Three miles off the interstate so it was quiet except for the trains that are fairly close. Very clean with friendly staff. An older and tired former KOA. Had a nice long pull through on grass/gravel. Could not get the Wi-Fi to work but had good cell service so used my hot spot. In a pinch we'd stay again. We camped at Gem State RV Park and Campground (formerly Mountain Home KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Richfield KOA, Richfield, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second time to this park for an overnight stay. Always impressed with the friendly staff and the cleanliness. Nice shade and green grass plus two dog yards. Probably the best KOA we have ever stayed at. The Wi-Fi was awful as with most parks. We would stay here again. We camped at Richfield KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tapo Canyon Park, Simi Valley, California

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second stay at this park so we knew what to expect. Cannot walk the dogs in the day area part of the park so walked them on the side of the road. LOTS of stickers for them to get in their paws so that is not good. There is a very large dog park about 3 miles away that is very nice. There is NO internet or phone service if you have Verizon. Sites were concrete with dirt on the sides. But - very clean and the hosts were very friendly. Since we have relatives in the area we will stay again. We camped at Tapo Canyon Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pismo Coast Village RV Resort, Pismo Beach, California

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Great RV park within walking distance of the beach. Restaurant and store on site with everything that you need. Albeit, very pricy for the convenience. Absolute best WiFi of any park we have ever stayed at!! Better than at home for us. Very clean. Site that we had was very spacious and had grass on a couple sides. Paved roadways, dirt and grass sites. Loved walking to the beach! Very quiet and pleasant people here. We would come again. We camped at Pismo Coast Village RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino), Verdi, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful grassy site. Friendly office staff. Paved roads in the park. Great first impression. Friendly people in the park. Unfortunately the showers and bathrooms were quite dirty late in the afternoon. Dryers took an hour and a half. There seem to be quite a few permanent people in the park which is ok, but some have definitely bent the rules. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Fifth Wheel.

Angel Lake RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is the first time that we have had someone walk out of the office and welcome us to their campground! Very sweet. Campground itself is older with gravel and dirt roads. All pull throughs. Very clean and well run. A good place for just an overnight stay. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Western Hills Campground, Rawlins, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

What a nice find this park was. It looks fairly new and is very clean and well kept. Friendly staff. Gave us a site right near the dog yard so made exercising dogs after a long day of driving easy. All gravel sites with very wide, easy to navigate roads. The only drawback is that the sites are fairly narrow. Since we stayed in the off season, just overnight, it was not a big problem. The other great thing is, that though it is just off the interstate it is set back far enough that noise is not an issue. There is also a nearby restaurant, Cappie's, that you can walk to. Nothing exciting but if you are tired and don't want to fix anything it will work! We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Double Nickel Campground, Waco, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice young owners of the park. It is an older park that they are slowly trying to update. Kudos to them. Large pull through sites. Lots of trees and grass. Some sites have very cute wooden swings. Large of leash dog area. We would stay here again! We camped at Double Nickel Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Duck Creek RV Park, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff, good location for what we needed. But- sites were VERY narrow! Boulder highway has lots of emergency vehicle traffic so not very quiet. Really puzzling was the fact that they said that their policy was to require rigs to be less than ten years old, but many of their full time sites were occupied by rigs much older than that. Will probably not stay here again. We camped at Duck Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Amarillo Ranch RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park had long pull through sites and grassy areas between the sites. Used it just as an overnight stop because friends were there. It seems old and tired. Grass coming through the blacktop makes it look unkept. Needs some TLC. Very close to the interstate and noisy. Won't stop again unless friends are still there. We camped at Amarillo Ranch RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
