North Rim Campground (NPS Campground), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park. We stayed in site 16 which was a rim view site. The view from the campsite was amazing. The Transept Trail runs right beside the picnic table and firepit at this site, so expect lots of hikers to walk by. That did not bother us. The view and size of the campsite was worth it. I would highly recommend this campground. We stayed here 3 nights, We camped at North Rim Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Sayre City Park Campground, Sayre, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent place for a one night stop on our way out West. Very long pull thru sites, which were great since we didn't want to unhook. Quiet. Very nice walking trails and lake. There were only a few other campers there. Self pay station convenient to use since we arrived late. Well maintained. Great deal for $12.00 a night. We camped at Sayre City Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Black Bear Cove, Benton, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this campground every year since it opened and watched it go downhill over the past few years from owner neglect. This is now a bank owned property with a new management company running it. They have been here for 2 months. We talked with the General Manager, who said they have done a deep cleaning on the lodge and it is now as nice as ever and ready for use. We did drive by the lodge and it is noticeably cleaner outside, but we did not go inside. He said they have a lot of work to do to the campground. They have put new gravel on the roads, which is a big improvement from the muddy road full of holes that we experienced last year. The restrooms seem cleaner. This is a beautiful campground located right on the Hiwassee River. I have high hopes that this new management company will continue to improve the conditions at the campground. we would stay here again. We camped at Black Bear Cove in a Travel Trailer.

Tremont Outdoor Resort, Townsend, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for the Thanksgiving week. The campground owner and staff organized a great Thanksgiving dinner where campers brought a covered dish and the turkey/drinks/bread/etc. were provided. It was well organized and delicious. The campsites are very nice. The waterfront sites each have a covered deck overlooking the river. The pool was closed but looks very nice. There is a game room for kids. The laundry room and bath houses were clean. This is a quiet well run campground. The staff were all very friendly. We have stayed here many times and will return. We camped at Tremont Outdoor Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Campfire Lodgings, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in site P8. This site has a great view of the mountains and overlooks the French Broad River. Sites P1 thru P5 seem to have an even better view. The premium sites are paved with full hookups. The sites which are not premium are also nice sites, they are just not paved and do not have a view. This is a small park on the top of a mountain. It is convenient to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway, each being about 10 minutes away. The owners were nice and helpful. We camped at Campfire Lodgings in a Travel Trailer.
