Big Oak RV Park, Tallahassee, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Expensive for what you get. This was an overnight for us so expectations are less. We were in a dark dingy canopy covered area with large Oaks. No chance for satellite. Many trailers and motorhomes were old broken and even moss covered. We would not stay here again. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gulf Air RV Resort, Fort Myers Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We spent two weeks here and like the proximity of the park to the places we wanted to visit. We came here right after the snowbirds left, so the park was fairly empty. This is a tired old Snowbird park with some permanents living in the trailers on perimeter of park. Those people that were there were friendly. A fifth wheel was next to us with a tent set up for kids. That surprised us, however, it did not present a problem. The wife liked the laundry. We camped at Gulf Air RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park right adjacent to the freeway. The rate reflects Passport America. The office folks were very friendly. Only some sites are satellite friendly. We used this park as an overnight. We camped at Twin Oaks RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Talona Creek Campground, Talking Rock, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The rate reflects a one week stay. This park is no frills. We did have full hookups. Most of the other attendees in this small park were permanent or semi-permanent. Scenery is nice. It is a ranch type with horses grazing. The site drainage is poor and we almost had to depart early because of serious rain. We stayed here because it was the only park close to a relative we were visiting. We camped at Talona Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Clarksville RV Park & Campground, Clarksville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This park would receive a 9 instead of a 5 if it weren't for the noise from the freeway on one side and metal recycling plant on the other (our) side. I trust that the park was here first, otherwise placing this otherwise nice park in this position is a shame. This park is close to most anything you want in Clarksville and is close to the Army base. It is 40 miles to visit Nashville, which we were unwilling to do. We stayed in water and electric section and there was clean satellite reception We camped at Clarksville RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

This park was a very pleasant surprise. Beautiful surroundings with rolling hills and live oak trees. Office Mgr. was outstanding. They dedicated an entire house on premises to laundry and bathrooms. We used this base to tour Kerrville, Fredricksburg and Stonewall. I would definetly return. Rate reflects Passport America rate We camped at Triple T RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Road Runner RV Park (formerly Parkview Mobile Home & RV Park), Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Used this park to overnight. Rate is negotiated Passport rate (long story). This park has the most confusing layout of sites I have ever encountered. It was also difficult for us to locate by GPS. The park is a dust bowl. The owner or manager. was very grumpy. We would not stay here again. We camped at Road Runner RV Park (formerly Parkview Mobile Home & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Gulf Coast RV Resort, Beaumont, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Price reflects Passport America. Close to I-10. This park looks very clean and well kept as you drive in. Only stayed here for an overnight. Would have given them a 9 but gave them a 4 because of a misereable time listening to four unsupervised children right next to us. They were living there. Parent and Grandma didn't want their noise inside so they let them do as pleased outside until late at night-this included using a hammer to bang on everything. We complained to manager and she pretty much acted surprised and didn't want to hear us. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

KOC Kampground, New Iberia, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

This park has a variety of site surfaces. Much of it is large areas of cracked concrete. There are many oil/gas field workers who stay here. Many leave for work very early in the morning. We used this park only because it was close to the Tabasco factory tour. We camped at KOC Kampground in a Motorhome.

Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This park must be a hidden gem except to locals. The setting is serene with horse pastures and live oak trees. They don't take reservations and you probably don't want to be here during a home LSU game-unless you are going to the game. All sites are grass and slightly uneven. You can walk to the East bank of the Mississippi. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week. Road noise from I-40 was the only negative. Park is very clean and office people were very friendly. Being right near I-40 intersection allowed for quick access to downtown and NW Albuquerque. The park was only 30% full. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sand Hollow State Park, Hurricane, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a top notch state campground. Great location to use as base for Zion, Bryce and North Rim Canyon. Sites are huge-maybe 1/8 acre. Views are spectacular. We camped here in the slow season-late Oct. Park was half full. Would stay here again. We camped at Sand Hollow State Park in a Motorhome.
