Lake Huron Campground, Carsonville, Michigan
Date of Stay:
August, 2015 -
$59.00
Overall Rating:
Not what it was when first opened. Don't know who owns it at present, but it is going downhill. Rates have increased but do not see any improvements happening. Sites are beginning to look shabby(mine was covered with cigarette butts). Fire pits are showing their age. Pool is still too small for park capacity. Kayaks, boat, etc are not in great shape and are a bit pricey. Needs some real TLC!! We camped at Lake Huron Campground in a Motorhome.
Not much. Pool too small, fishing bad, pizza shop closed, internet not good. Went to the county park for ice cream.

Algonac State Park, Marine City, Michigan
Date of Stay:
May, 2015 -
$28.00
Overall Rating:
Great view of freighters traveling the river. Very relaxing watching the river activities. Not crowded during the week so in and out is easy.No hookups other than electric but with a short stay that is not a big problem. For longer stays a trip to the dump station is fairly simple. We camped at Algonac State Park in a Motorhome.
