Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort, New Braunfels, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Called well in advance for a reservation & were told there were no pull thru's available so we opted for a back in. We were placed in the older area of the park which appeared to have many permanent residents. Our back in spot was tight & hard to maneuver into due to the large # of vehicles parked in the road. We had to back uphill , site was unlevel. Water connection was wobbly like it had been run over. Tree directly over the site needed trimmed as the limbs were on top of our rig & slides. Cigarette butts all over the site & cats running loose in the park. As we drove around the park, we saw many empty pull thru's. The positive sides of this park was that the bathroom was clean & the front office help were very friendly. Location of the resort is convenient to the highway but in the lower part of the park, there is a lot of road noise. We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Deer Creek Valley RV Park, Topeka, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Good location to highway. This park is laid out very nicely with lots of space between sites. The sites are staggered so you are not gazing directly into your neighbor's RV. Pull-throughs are long & have patios. Staff is very friendly & helpful. The laundry, bathrooms, pool & grounds are kept clean. I would definitely stay here again. Only complaint is road noise at the sites that are long-term & only the back-in sites have shade. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Downstream RV Park, Quapaw, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This park is adjacent to Downstream Casino and if you have a player's card, you can stay for free for 3 nights. It is VERY basic, water and electric. Nice pull thru sites and it has great access to highway. No showers or bathrooms. It does have a shuttle to the casino and the area is videotaped so it is very safe and well-lit. We camped at Downstream RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
