Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground, Waves, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We belong to Coast to Coast which accounts for the low rate. We have a 42 ft motorhome and camp here each April with a Good Sams group. We stay on the sound side and have incredible water views and see many kite surfers. Amazing accommodations especially for groups if you have access to their clubhouse, which is awesome (and well equipped). Sites are spacious and level - concrete sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a little difficulty with cable, and they responded immediately to fix it. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Wi-fi strength varies. Come prepared with whatever you need because it is pretty far from stores. We camped at Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Asheville's Bear Creek RV Park & Campground, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here five days. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Definitely pet friendly. The park is very convenient for sightseeing because it is so close to I-40. The down side is that there is traffic noise from the highway. The noise was not really bothersome, especially when the motorhome was closed up with heat or air running. There is a fairly steep entry into the park. Also, when backing into some sites you may notice it is somewhat steep. However, once situated on the site, you will see that it is level and paved. Each has a picnic table. Size of sites will vary. We camped in a 42 ft. motorhome and had plenty of room for the coach and could park a car in front. Restrooms are clean and the park is very well maintained. Free Wifi connection is very good. Sites are not especially spacious, but most have a good view. The nightly cost of $45 is more than we usually pay, but it seems to be comparable to others in the area - especially for big rigs. We will definitely come back to this campground. We camped at Asheville's Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
