Saddleback Campground, Northwood, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here primarily because it was a Passport park. New owners, very friendly. Chatted with them for about 15 minutes. As new owners they tried every site that was available to check them out for livability. Wifi was available but limited to around the office, even with a booster I couldn't get wifi and we were across the small lake from the office. Too many trees for satellite.

When pulling away from the office you need to negotiate between 2 buildings, a little tight but doable. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Motorhome.

Timberland Acres RV Park, Trenton, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here a week. Site was very nice, a lot of seasonals but everything is well kept. Our toad had a dead battery when we went to unhook and immediately someone showed up to give us a jump. We needed propane, which they have, but the hose wasn't long enough to reach to the driver side(have encountered this in numerous cgs), will give the office a call when we leave and someone will meet us at the propane tank.

CG hosted a Harvest Dinner at the pavilion, nice central location and covered. This was a complete meal, we just pulled in so we weren't prepared to bring anything.

Wifi is poor generally. Even in the off hours. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Smoke Rise Campground, Brandon, Vermont

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We needed a cg near Burlington as we were going to a rally and this fit our needs. Big rigs are an easy fit. We are a 36' MH plus toad. Delightful cg. rv owners, actual rvers, new owners(2nd year). We were greeted warmly at the office, paid and then led to our site. We were as far from the office as we could be and the wifi was very solid. Only 30a service but they are planning to upgrade to 50a. Would come back here again. We camped at Smoke Rise Campground in a Motorhome.

Lehigh Gorge Campground, White Haven, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This was just an overnight stay for us. We received a GS + a cash discount. The campground is in the woods, deep woods. I am not sure we would fit excepts in the overnight spots. A lot of permanents(weekend type) so happy we were there during the weekend. A typical family cg. Easy in/out, close to hwy. We camped at Lehigh Gorge Campground in a Motorhome.

San Antonio KOA, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

We pulled in without a reservation and discovered there was a rodeo in town. If we had know this we would have continued on down the road. Office staff was great, fast check in and escorted to site. We haven't been here for several years and thought the price a bit high. When I looked at the receipt we paid $57 for one night and $44 for the second. I assume the first night was because of the rodeo. This is a lovely, quiet park. Very friendly people. Easy in/out in a convenient location. The city bus to go downtown stops right in front of the park. Great way to get to the Riverwalk. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Motorhome.

Caverns of Sonora RV Park, Sonora, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We parked in a pull-through space. Very tight spaces but a very quiet park. The deer and peacocks wandering around were an added bonus. This prk is 6-7 miles off of I10. I would call before traveling to the park to make sure they have space. We camped at Caverns of Sonora RV Park in a Motorhome.

Okatoma Resort & RV Park, Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This park is really in Seminary,MS. The road in is one way but not marked as such. Narrow and a little rough. All dirt. Very nice welcome buy the manager, led us to the site which was a pull through. Good sat. reception as you are on the top of a hill. Fair amount of workers but plenty of other sites. Wifi was poor in the afternoon/evening but in the AM was fine. Very quiet campground, good for an overnight or longer. Quite a distance from the road. Price paid is Passport. We camped at Okatoma Resort & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shuman's RV Trailer Park, Canadys, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Good CG for an overnight, several options for entering. This is essentially a house owner who took extra land and made an rv park. Electricity is so-so. There is a new owner and the name has changed to Eagles(town has also changed to Walterboro) and the rate has gone up to $30. The office is not clearly marked, walked up to house(run down) and "office" not open. No notes as to what to do.

The host walked up and gave us a site. No one was expecting us, they had messed up our reservation by a day, luckily there was space.

OK for an overnight but no longer. We camped at Shuman's RV Trailer Park in a Motorhome.

Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

I am not sure of the neighborhood this park is in. Lovely park, check in was friendly and fine. However, person in office had to buzz us into the office and there is a high wall and gates that enclose the park. You need to get a remote from the office to open the gates. I have never encountered this before, nor have I ever been through Las Vegas before so this may be "normal" for Las Vegas. We camped at Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

Lovely campground, wonderful owner. Campground is next to I-15, very noisy. We camped here in October and had to run our AC fan all night to drown out the noise. We would stay here again. We camped at Country RV Village in a Fifth Wheel.

Cherry Hill Camping Resort, Fruit Heights, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Based on previous reviews we thought we would fit (MDT+40' 5th Wheel). Campground said we wouldn't have a problem. We were assigned to Row A, the turn into row A was tight, streets were narrow. In order to get into site we had to go 5' onto grass across the road. If the campground had been full there is no way we could get into the site. Site was plenty long. If we had been assigned to Row B or C we would not have been able to get out due to the narrow road. If the campground had been full (summer) I doubt if we could have gotten into our site. Campground was wonderful except for the tight roads. We camped at Cherry Hill Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
