U.S. Space & Rocket Center RV Park, Huntsville, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is so conveniently located with easy access to 565 and Bob Wallace Blvd. Space and Rocket Park plus the Davidson Center is just a short walk. It was shady and relatively quiet considering it's location. We camped at U.S. Space & Rocket Center RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sherling Lake Park, Greenville, Alabama

Friendliest staff, quiet campground. Fast Wi-Fi connection. We really liked the location. Convenient to I-65 and shopping but far enough away from town to be quiet. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park, Mccalla, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was slow. Site was tiny, too many RVs crammed into to small a space. Even with our small travel trailer it was difficult to negotiate parking. There was a tree stump in the middle of the site. The rest of the Park was great, especially the museum. Food was good at the nearby restaurant. We camped at Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Dauphin Island Campground, Dauphin Island, Alabama

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

The only reason I didn't give this campground a 10 rating was the noisy tent campers. Policy said children should be in their own camp area after dusk and that quiet time was 10 pm to 6 am. I don't think that was enforced on the group of tent campers that arrived Friday evening. We camped at Dauphin Island Campground in a Travel Trailer.
