Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park), Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The park was well kept and comfortable. It was easy to get to and centrally located to the amenities of Santa Fe. There were very few trees in our area, however we enjoyed the refreshing pool. We'll stay here again when in Santa Fe. We camped at Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Deer Crossing RV Park, Ruidoso, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small quiet RV park for older folks. The sites are all level spacious pull throughs. The owners live on site and keep everything immaculate. The park is 15 miles from Ruidoso and we would stay here again. We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Dolores River Campground, Dolores, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The spaces in the front part of the park were spacious and easy to navigate, however the part by the cabins and tent area were extremely tight. It takes a real effort to get in and out of these spaces. The sites were gravel and level with lots of nice trees. A pleasant flowing river runs through the campground and there is also a still pond and a mosquito problem. The children in the tent area do not observe quiet time, especially on weekends. The area has beautiful mountain vistas, great fishing, and cool nights for good sleeping. Be sure to visit Galloping Goose Museum, a must for RR buffs. We camped at Dolores River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sky Ute Casino RV Park, Ignacio, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is neat, clean, spacious, and the camp host is very helpful. The park is full every night and there are only 24 sites, so reservations are wise. Trees are few and far between and as all sites face west, the afternoon sun shines in everyone's door. The bathrooms and showers are inside the casino indoor pool area and it gets very crowded during the day. The casino is friendly with good food and is next door to the Southern Ute Museum which is a good experience. We would stay here again. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fredericksburg, Texas KOA, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stay in Fredericksburg several times a year and always enjoy this park. The spaces are large and there are lots of trees; the pool is always clean and refreshing; everything is clean and the staff is friendly. We enjoy the flock of roosters and chickens and the field of Longhorns when we take walks. We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Pioneer Beach Resort, Port Aransas, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

If you want a clean pleasant campground with level sites, good wi-fi and cable, easy walkway to the beach, good showers and restrooms and easy access to midtown Port Aransas, and don't mind paying $59 per night, this is the place for you. We've stayed here for the past several years and enjoyed it, however the higher rates lately seem a bit too much. We camped at Pioneer Beach Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Best place for drinks is Back Porch Bar close to Woody's. Best value is the fresh shrimp from the Polly Anna at 9am in the park by the ferry.

Red River Ranch RV Resort, Thackerville, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We intended to stay here for 2 nights and ended up staying 5 nights as the Passport America price is so reasonable. The park is pleasant and comfortable with a great pool, nice showers and laundry, plus you can select your own site under one of the big shade trees. The staff was friendly and helpful, the grass was freshly mowed and we didn't notice any burrs. This is an older park but very well kept. We have previously stayed in the RV park at Winstar, however we will be staying here in the future. We camped at Red River Ranch RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overnite RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very pleasant park, easy access, level shaded sites, and great pool. The office personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. The few planes taking off nearby were enjoyable to watch and not at all annoying. Also we highly recommend a trip to the nearby Quarter Horse Museum. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Overnite RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Canyon, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Texas state park and the amenities here are the same as all Texas state parks. The scenery was great, the hiking was great, the birds were great and the staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed at Hackberry campground which had plenty of shade and the entrance is before the road construction. Keep in mind it is at least 10 degrees hotter at the bottom of the canyon than at the top. The only disappointing thing was the Texas play. The old play was better than the new 'politically correct' play, which relies more on fireworks than substance. We camped at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park), Shreveport, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is an old KOA park that the new owners have returned to great shape. The sites are all grass and basically level. There is a concrete slab with wrought iron furniture on each site. The cable TV and Wi-Fi worked great. The pool was cool and clean and comfortable and the restrooms and laundry were as immaculate as we've seen in any campground. The owner and office personnel were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and will return again. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This park is very clean and well maintained. The sites are large and level with grass and trees. The pool was cool, clean and refreshing. The office personnel were friendly and helpful and the shuttle service to the casino was very prompt. The casino is first class, as is the RV park. Be sure to see the swamp display and alligators in the hotel lobby. We look forward to staying here again. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

River View RV Park & Resort, Vidalia, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park was pleasant and comfortable on the banks of the Mississippi River. We could see the barges traveling the river from our campsite and from the pool. The park is also very convenient to the Natchez area. The sites were large and grassy with level pull-throughs. The showers and restrooms were clean separate rooms, however there were no electric outlets in the rooms. We would stay here again when in this area. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

WinStar RV Park, Thackerville, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

The park is clean and well kept, with nice level sites, exceptionally nice restrooms and pool. However, cable TV is not available and we didn't appreciate the nightly sprinkler systems which came on while we were sleeping and and got everything wet in the trailer. Also the extremely loud weed eaters and leaf blowers at 7 am were very irritating. The workers actually came up to the picnic table while we were eating breakfast outside to trim and blow leaves. Management told us they had no control over any of this as it was an outside contract. We probably won't be staying here again. We camped at WinStar RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Coushatta Casino Resort Red Shoes RV Park, Kinder, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed at Coushatta for the last several years and are very pleased with the RV park. The sites are large and level with grass and picnic tables. The pool area is usually exceptional, although this year it seems to be over-run with rowdy children from the rented chalets. The shuttle service to the casino is excellent, usually on schedule, and the drivers are pleasant and friendly. We plan to continue visiting Coushatta when in the southern Louisiana area. We camped at Coushatta Casino Resort Red Shoes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
