Homosassa River RV Resort (formerly Turtle Creek), Homosassa Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here about 4 times. It is under new management, Sun Resorts. They are in the process of upgrading electrical boxes. The manager told me of the coming improvements....but they are charging "Resort" rates now. No Passport America honored during tourist season, no surprise there. But every time previously during the season we paid PA rates. There are many "tired" units here. They do look like they have put in some concrete pads for "6 month guests"....but only if you sign up for 2 years. The pool area still the same, nice. This is NOT a Resort! The manager stated, it is a Resort. I laughed and said, I am a zebra....but you can plainly see i'm not. I am voting with my wallet and will not return! Folks seem pleasant. We camped at Homosassa River RV Resort (formerly Turtle Creek) in a Motorhome.

Adrian Municipal Park, Adrian, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in R-6. R-1 thru 6, on the outside circle had 50 amp, sewer and water. These spaces backed up to the city frisbee golf area. Very clean and well maintained. On Saturday night a free movie was shown in that area. Pool is within easy walk and free to campers. We stayed 3 days. Definitely would stay here again. We camped at Adrian Municipal Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown is a great Greek restaurant, Zorba's. Pure Country Restaurant on business spur I-75 is good for breakfast and lunch. There is a K-Mart nearby this restaurant. If you go south of CG to see the ships go thru the Nebbish Cut, try Country Corners Restaurant. Excellent soups!

Felt like when the owner saw our big rigs, he upped the price. However, it is tourist season. As others stated, nice beach across the street. Interesting stone work pieces around the grounds. Movie shown the night we arrived. We camped at Gitche Gumee RV Park in a Motorhome.
