Egg Harbor Campground & RV Resort, Egg Harbor, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

WiFi was great. Site was long enough for 40' coach and trailer and our car was able to be parked in front. Escort to our site. Nice lawn next to us and spacious between neighbors. Quiet at night. Restrooms were clean and neat. Site was concrete and level. We did not do any TV while there. Nice, in the woods/campground feel with lots of trees around. Staff was very helpful with all of our questions about the local area. Never used the pool. Location is easy to get in and out of. Garbage was picked up during the day and they deliver wood to your site when requested (of course, you still need to buy it). We camped at Egg Harbor Campground & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pine Harbor Campground, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second visit here. It's in a campground-like setting away from traffic so it's nice and quiet. WiFi was good. Restrooms are old but clean. Lots of space in between neighbors. Site was level and long enough for our 40' coach and trailer. New owners but the previous owner was still there and very helpful and friendly. He walked us to our site. Did not use any TV. No amenities to speak of. Cash or check only. Water quality and pressure were fine. No sewer but a dump station is available. We camped at Pine Harbor Campground in a Motorhome.

Kewaunee RV & Campground, LLC, Kewaunee, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice place to spend four days. Owners bought the place about 3 years ago and are steadily improving the place with tree trimming, leveling sites, completely re-working the mini-golf area, improved infrastructure and more. Very helpful owners. I wanted to get some propane at 8am when we left and, a bit before 8, the owner came by to make sure I still needed it and told us he'd be ready. Nice touch. Location is great....right next to the town and mid-way between Algoma and Two Rivers/Manitowoc area. WiFi worked fine but is better closer to the office. They have three rows of full-time sites and five rows for the rest of us....plenty. Sites were a bit close but that's because of the previous layout. Quiet at night. They have a heated pool, but we never used it. Restrooms were clean, a bit old. Water quality and pressure were fine. Just barely fit in our site with the 40'coach and trailer. Site was a bit unlevel side to side but we got it right. We'd stay here again. We camped at Kewaunee RV & Campground, LLC in a Motorhome.

Ogston RV Park, Saginaw, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Location is nice, right next to several lakes (and quiet at night). Unfortunately, you cannot swim in them due to leeches which will get on you....yuk. Goose poop all near the ponds in the grass. No tornado shelter. I was able to sit in the shallow to keep cool. That was nice. WiFi was non-existent. Men's restroom: One toilet, one shower, one urinal for all the sites (all 90 of them!). Never used it. Spacious between sites. The hookups were fine except the water hookup was on the passenger side behind us...need to ring a LONG hose(s). Sites near the lake are back-to-back so we had to unhook our car trailer to fit in the site. Escort to the site. Otherwise we would've had to book the site behind us. Site was level. We did not do any TV. Owners were nice and around. He took me around to see a couple of sites to choose from. Cash or check only. No amenities so the price was a bit steep. Water quality was very hard with iron in it. If you stay a long time, you'll see it show up in your toilet and sinks. We'll probably find another place next visit. We camped at Ogston RV Park in a Motorhome.

Royal Oaks RV Park, Bemidji, Minnesota

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Terrific owner, helpful and informative. Gave us directions right to her place. She left us a note and map showing us where our spot was located. This place has a campground feeling with lots of trees, shade, campfires and space between. Some highway noise from the state road but not annoying. Bathrooms were clean and roomy. Hookups were a bit strange. The sewer was way at the back and the electric and water were closer to the front. I had to really look around for the water spigot as it was way at the top of the post. Not used to that. WiFi worked great. Good overnight stay for us. We camped at Royal Oaks RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oakwood RV Park, Clear Lake, Iowa

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

LONG pull thrus. We pull a car trailer and I was able to pull in, take down the car and still have room left over. They use the "buddy system" where one goes in one way and the other comes in the other way. They were nice enough to place us by ourselves as the park was not full yet. Lovely setting with lots of shade. Nice host and hostess. Oh, if you want to shop at Walmart of Hy-Vee, it's 12 miles away. The host said "4 mile" but it's longer. Electric hookup was right at the ground level. I had to get on my knees to plug it in. WiFi worked great. Water pressure was good. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Offutt AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Offutt AFB, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice to stay. Good neighbors, safe, wonderful lake, great recreation facilities and rentals. Check in got us a long pull-thru so we would not have to unhook our trailer. Camp host and hostess come around to see if we're okay and if we need anything. We stayed an extra day because it was so nice. Even rented some archery equipment and shot arrows (a first!). A couple of suggestions: One, fill in the potholes. Two, add more sites. Three, take out the hazards in the lake (concrete/rebar) and make a quartered off area for swimming with bouys marking the limits. The lake is too gorgeous to resist swimming. We camped at Offutt AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Camp A Way, Lincoln, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice "campground-like" location. Noisy most of the day and into the night (until around 2-5am) because the park is right next to I-80 and 180 so LOTS of semis going by. Wonderful welcoming service at the counter and an escort to the site...which I always appreciate. We did not like our first spot they placed us in so I asked to be changed and they did it without any hesitation. Lots of families and children for the weekend..not bad. Only one bathroom and showers for the entire park and it's way away from the people that need it most, the tenters. Pool was small but nice. Hot tub was not hot and very small. We used it before anyone had shown up. Cigarette butts in our firepit...yuk. Site was level. WiFi worked fine. Close to shopping and downtown sites. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

Area's Finest Country View Campground, Ogallala, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Easy off and on the highway. Friendly host at the office, eager to settle us in and escorted us to our site. Really wasn't necessary but I like an escort. Long, long pull through, enough for my 40' coach, car trailer and room to spare. Men's room was clean and tidy. The gravel is actually pea gravel....much smaller. Lawns are in need of cutting but it's been raining so it'll probably get done soon. We came in on a Sunday and it was very quiet but Monday was quiet as well. No highway noise. Plenty of grass and room to walk our dog. WiFi was terrific. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

Robidoux RV Park, Gering, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, nice city RV park. WiFi was iffy. Bathrooms were clean. Spacious sites, water pressure was good. Close to attractions. Green, green grass. The only downside was way too many cigarette butts everywhere, like there was a smoking contest at our site. Nice long pull-thru for our 40' foot coach, car trailer and our car and level. We camped at Robidoux RV Park in a Motorhome.

Casper KOA, Bar Nunn, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

All gravel park. Level in the row nearest the road, the other row wasn't bad, but our coach front was lower than the back. Very easy access and in and out. Bathrooms were clean with maps of the Oregon, Mormon, California trails as the pony express as well. Water pressure was good. Wireless was good. Nice owners, very accommodating to our requests. Dog run was very small, dirt only. A little too small for such a large park but, with all the gravel, our dog just went anywhere she wanted. We camped at Casper KOA in a Motorhome.

Flaming Gorge / Manila KOA, Manila, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

New owners (3 years) have been improving the place. Completely re-did the bathrooms, put in new gravel, leveled the sites, changed the entry and gift shop room to be friendlier and accommodating. Easy in and out and close the Flaming Gorge and the Geological Road. They even pick up your trash in the morning! Dog park was small but sufficient. Sewer is way at the back. We camped at Flaming Gorge / Manila KOA in a Motorhome.

Wahweap RV and Campground, Page, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

If you want to be near Lake Powell instead of Page, the city, this is the place. So scenic and near the boat tours (which we took). The manager was good enough to find us a long enough site for our 40' and a trailer which had a great view. Side by side parking with the other one going in the opposite direction on the driver's side then some grass and distance from the passenger side site so we got to know the close neighbors. We also had a lot of desert next to us for good dog walking. Nice walking and biking trails as well. Office and shop were extensive and service at the counters was prompt and efficient. Bathroom could have been a tad cleaner. WiFi was good. Book early, they fill up. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Vernal / Dinosaurland KOA, Vernal, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Nice KOA. Owners have been putting in lots of improvements like widening the sites, making premium sites, dog park, bathrooms. It's a nice place. Our was a long pull-thru. The dog park was small but kept up with a very large grass area around it to walk the dog. Bathrooms were clean. Front desk people and hosts and hostesses were friendly and helpful. Close to town and quite at night with little or no traffic. Down the road is the Dinosaur NP and the Green River. We'd stay here again. We camped at Vernal / Dinosaurland KOA in a Motorhome.

Sundance RV Park, Cortez, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is our 4th time staying here. Obviously, we love it. There are other RV parks nearby and we've wanted to try them but this one is clean, neat, well-cared for, spacious and it's right in the middle of town so shopping and errands are easy. Staff is wonderful. Nice dog lawn up front (not fenced in). Clean, tidy bathrooms with good showers and water pressure. After each visitor leaves their spot, the staff comes out with the golf cart (with rakes attached at the back end) and makes the gravel smooth again for the next person. Nice touch. We camped at Sundance RV Park in a Motorhome.
