Little Charlie Creek RV Park, Wauchula, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is the park for the winter if you want good value and an excellent facility. They don't have as many features as some parks but they cost half as much for the winter. Excellent roads and sites. I think this is the quietest park I have ever been in and there is a lot of walking and biking on the roads of the park. They are very helpful and friendly and will help with minor repairs. There are a lot of friendly activities in the evenings and a lot of picking and grinning during the winter. There are several decent golf courses within a few miles. There is a Walmart within a mile and major stores over in Sebring 25 miles away. great place to kick back during the cold up north. We camped at Little Charlie Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Close to the Interstate so it is a nice transit stop. The park is very quiet and the sites were easy to get into. We were given a pull through site on a Coast to Coast reservation. We camped at Golden Isles Vacation Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Shuman's RV Trailer Park, Canadys, South Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice stopover while traveling. Very quiet with a helpful couple who run the site. We enjoyed the peace and quiet but would not stay more than a few days due to a lack of facilities. Highly recommend this site if you are in transit to another area. We camped at Shuman's RV Trailer Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fieldridge Acres, Charlotte, North Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Used as a overnight stop and the folks were very nice. The major drawback was the park is in the flight path of the very busy Charlotte airport. We will stop here again as the noise wasn't that bad in our camper. We camped at Fieldridge Acres in a Fifth Wheel.

Suwannee River Hideaway Campground, Old Town, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2010 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Water supply is on a well and the park is near the river, we ruined our central water filter due to rust and junk in the water. Not a show stopper but be sure to have a filter, I went to Wal-Mart and got a cheap external until I could replace our central filter. Park is laid back, quiet and out of the way, not much to do but lay back. Would stay again. We camped at Suwannee River Hideaway Campground in a Travel Trailer.
