I was here on a monthly rate for 2 months. This campground recently became a KOA. It appeared to me that most of the residents were Snowbirds wintering over and enjoying the warmer climate. It is very large park with over 800 campsites and a Lagoon in the middle with a large fountain and swimming area and a Tiki bar at the end. On the surface it looks pretty nice to be able to go sun bathing or swimming there and socialize with other campers. They also use this Lagoon as a day use center for the general public and charge them a fee. On the first really warm weekend in March the general public came by the truck loads. The KOA provides a DJ and music right in the lagoon. So now you have a bunch of young, rowdy, drinking people and a DJ playing music at an unbelievable loud level. These people did not care whom they bothered and by later in the day were obnoxiously loud and boisterous. Their vehicles were parked everywhere including campsites. No family would want their children to be associating with this kind of trouble makers. No senior citizen would want to go to the lagoon either. These people just took over and the campground management just counted their dollars. The Sheriffs cars were there to keep the peace. Why would you need continued police presence unless you expect trouble? This all goes on for 6 hours on Saturdays and Sundays all summer long. As a very frequent KOA customer with over 450,000 KOA value points, I was shocked. KOA better take another look at their franchise with Wekiva. KOA campgrounds are supposed to be family oriented, quiet and safe for their camping customers. In my opinion, Wekiva’s owner needs to decide if he wants this place to be a campground or a day care center for the socially misaligned. I will not be back unless some significant changes are made.

I stayed here for 4 nights. Campground elevation is 186 feet. Maneuvering my 40 footer towing a dinghy was no problem. Roads are asphalt, sites are sand/grass mixture, and my site had a concrete patio. Site spacing is OK. My site was a back-in, 30/50 amps. WI-FI and cable are included in daily rate. I was able to receive AT&T Wireless G3/4 Internet & Cellular service. I was not able to receive Dish Network 110/119 Satellite TV from dish on roof of motorhome, but I was with my portable Qube. Campground is pet friendly. Walmart is 6 miles away and Winn-Dixie grocery is 2 miles away. They have many pull through sites with sand/grass patios. There is one major drawback to this otherwise decent campground. The rear of my motorhome was about 300 feet from Highway US-441. This is a 4 lane highway and the speed limit here is 55 mph. The surface is concrete with what we call up North, expansion slots and the wheels go pop-pop with every vehicle that goes by. This is a very busy highway and the noise is continuous. Even at night when traffic is reduced, it is pop-pop-pop all night long. I am a fairly light sleeper who took sleeping pills every night, and I still would wake up when some 18 wheelers or loud cars and motorcycles went by. In fairness, the noise is somewhat reduced in other sections of the campground but still unacceptable to me.

Rate reflects a 50% discount for Seniors Pass. I stayed here for 1 night. Campground elevation is 118 feet. Maneuvering my 40 footer towing a dinghy was no problem. Roads are sand, sites and patios are sand/grass mixture. Site spacing is good. My site was a pull through water and electricity 30/50 amps. There is a dump station on the way out. Several sites do have sewer hookups. WI-FI is included in daily rate and there is no cable. I was able to receive AT&T Wireless G3/4 Internet & Cellular service. I was also able to receive Dish Network 110/119 Satellite TV from dish on roof of motorhome. Campground is pet friendly. Walmart and Publix grocery are about 13 miles away. This is my second time to visit here and leave thinking that this is a really nice little campground and that I will return.

I stayed here for 1 night in a pull through site. Campground elevation is 76 feet. Maneuvering my 40 footer towing a dinghy was a little tight but OK. Roads are asphalt, sites and patios are sand/grass mixture. Site spacing is good. My site had full hookup 30/50 amps. Wi-Fi is included in daily rate and there is no cable. Their Wi-Fi is fairly fast. I was able to receive AT&T Wireless G3/4 Internet & Cellular service. I was not able to receive Dish Network 110/119 Satellite TV from dish on roof of motorhome due to the large number of trees. I was able to connect to the 110 satellite with my portable Qube dish but never connected to the 119 satellite. It looks like there may be a couple of sites that would be satellite friendly. I was able to get 19 channels of over-the-air television. Campground is pet friendly. WalMart is 18 miles away and IGA grocery is 8 miles away. This is my second visit here and it has rained hard both times dampening my spirits and overall opinion of the campground. In fairness however, this is a decent campground to spend an evening in. It is quiet and the people are friendly and helpful.

I stayed here for 6 nights in a pull through super site. Campground elevation is 115 feet. Maneuvering my 40 footer towing a dinghy was no problem. Roads are asphalt, site is concrete strips in gravel and patio is concrete. Site spacing is good. My site was landscaped with shrubbery between sites and had full hookup 30/50 amps. Wi-Fi & cable is included in daily rate. I was able to receive AT&T Wireless G3/4 Internet & Cellular service. I received Dish Network 110/119 Satellite TV from dish on roof of motorhome. Campground is pet friendly. WalMart and Publix grocery are 12 miles away. Their laundromats are decent with $1.50 per wash and $0.25 per 10 min on dryer. I am unable to comment on other amenities due to not using them. There is some I-10 noise but otherwise is very quiet. Overall, this is a nice campground with very long sites and good spacing between sites. The regular sites are grass with many of them having concrete patios. The workers are friendly. I have stayed here before and will again. The $38 rate was due to a "Hot Deal" of pay for 2 nights and get the third night free.

I stayed here for 1 night in a pull through site. Campground elevation is 15 feet. Maneuvering my 40 footer towing a dinghy was somewhat tight. Roads are asphalt, site and patio was grass/sand. Site spacing is close. My site was a full hookup 30/50 amps. Wi-Fi & cable is included in daily rate. I was able to receive AT&T Wireless G3/4 Internet & Cellular service. I received Dish Network 110/119 Satellite TV from dish on roof of motorhome. Campground is pet friendly. Walmart and Grocery are 4 miles away. I am unable to comment on other amenities due to not using them. This campground is mostly snowbirds and most of the sites are back-ins and but up against one another. My site was actually 2 sites because I requested a pull through no unhook site. They accommodated me very well in that regard. The big negative is the trains that run right next to the fence of the campground. Especially bothersome are the trains at 4:20 am and 4:35 am. There is also a switching station right next to the campground compounding the train noise. Other than that, it is a pretty nice campground with the beach straight across the road. I would return.

I stayed here for 1 night in a pull through site. Campground elevation is 39 feet. Maneuvering my 40 footer towing a dinghy was no problem. Roads are asphalt, site was concrete and patio was asphalt. Site spacing is fairly close. My site number 1A was 30A with water and sewer. WI-FI is included in daily rate. Cable is not available. I was able to receive AT&T Wireless G3/4 Internet & Cellular service. I received Dish Network 110/119 Satellite TV from dish on roof of motorhome. Campground is pet friendly. Walmart and Kroger are 7 miles away. I am unable to comment on other amenities due to not using them. They have the largest and cleanest laundromat I have ever seen at a campground. The major negative is the proximity to Interstate 10. I have stayed here 4 times and always request site 1A even though it is only 30A. Nice place but a little pricey.

I stayed here for 1 night in a pull through site. Campground elevation is 9 feet. Maneuvering my 40 footer towing a dinghy was somewhat tight. Roads are asphalt, my site & patio are concrete. Site spacing is close. WIFI is included in daily rate. Cable is not available. I was able to receive AT&T Wireless G3/4 Internet & Cellular service. I received Dish Network 110/119 Satellite TV from dish on roof of motorhome. Campground is pet friendly. Walmart and Kroger are 3 mile away. I am unable to comment on other amenities due to not using them. Most of their guests are monthly’s. There are only a hand full of pull throughs and most of them have monthly’s on them. Only 1 Long Enough for Motorhome & Car w/o Unhook. It appears that roughly 90% of the residents here are construction workers in fifth wheels and travel trailers. This is quite different from most KOA’s. It looks like spaces for one and two nights was an afterthought and they squeezed them in. While the sites are concrete they are very close together. There is some standing water 2-3 days after a rain. It is a little noisy from 6 to 7 in the morning and in the late afternoon with all the diesel pickup trucks going and coming. At $43 per night they are way overpriced and will not see me again.

This is my fourth time staying here over the last 4 years. I was booked to stay here 7 days but a mistake was made concerning the site I had confirmation for. I will probably will not return because of this, but this is a nice KOA and reasonable priced except for the Wi-Fi.

Kmart is 5 miles away and Albertsons is 4 miles away. I am unable to comment on other amenities due to not using them. This is a decent KOA with a lot of monthlies. It is well maintained and clean. Not many people passing through this time of the year. It sits right on the Colorado River which divides Arizona and California. Major negative is the proximity to I-10 and the California Check Point where traffic backs up. The noise is abundant and continuous. I also think that $40 per night is a little steep, all things considered.
