This campground was quite impressive to us. We were the only travelers there the night we stayed - all others were long-term residents. Despite this, we didn't see a lot of trashy, run-down trailers like we've seen at other places that encourage long term renters. Instead, the semi-permanent trailers were fairly well-kept and neat. Our site was towards the front, and these spots are a bit narrow - I'd hate to have a noisy neighbor or someone starting a campfire just a couple of feet from my window. We strolled across the street for a great sunset behind Haystack Rock, then returned to camp for a dip in the heated pool and hot tub. That night it got rather windy and we felt exposed to the full force of the wind, but no big problem. We'd definitely stay here again.

Found this place after a long day of driving and spotted signs on road just before the turnoff. Initial greeting was a bit curt, but warmed after talking for a bit. We were given the choice of forest or ocean sites, and we chose ocean as the forest sites looked pretty close to the highway. Our site was literally ocean-front, just above the waves on a rip=rap rock embankment. Site was gravel and not particularly level - needed lots of blocks to get semi-close to sorta level, but the view was unbelievable! Spectacular sunset and woke up to views of sea lions hunting in the surf line just below our campsite.
