The Palms RV Resort, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Park has large lots. All lots are for sale, and way overpriced. If you like construction noise 7am to whenever six days a week; cold swimming pools, loud music, and barking dogs then this is the place for you. Very rude drivers going way over 10 mph speed limit. Park needs some speed bumps and supervision. No activities for the in-park residents, all are open to public also. Main priority here is to sell lots. Have traveled coast to coast: there are better parks for less money. We camped at The Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A very nice park with friendly staff. Park is out of the main traffic, in quiet area. Shopping and food are close. Fishing is good in the river. Would stay here again. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Kickapoo State Recreation Area, Oakwood, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful State Park, pull through sites are long and have nice grassy areas. Park is very quiet during the week, gets a little full on weekend, but by Sunday night most go home. Good bike riding, trails, fishing. Has a nice restaurant by the water front and local bands Friday and Saturday night during the summer. We camped at Kickapoo State Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.
