Northland Camping & RV Park, Superior, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped at this campground on one of our northern trips. Was greeted by a cheerful lady and was checked-in, in just a few minutes. Lots of drive-through sites. As a overnighter, we found this place very easy to find, easy to park rig. These are things that matter most to us while towing a vehicle. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Northland Camping & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blackhawk Park COE, De Soto, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: October, 2006 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Was here in the fall, things looked good. Came back in Jan. 2007 for some fishing, too warm for ice fishing, no ice at that time. But what I really wanted to see was the new spots for the RV`s, the spots have been wired for electrical service. GREAT. Now I have to wait for spring to come. The COE people sure have tried to make progress on this park over the last few years. To the COE people, I have to say "THANK-YOU". We camped at Blackhawk Park COE in a Motorhome.

Moonlite Trails Campgrounds LLC, Necedah, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2006 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a five year old campground with the promise of exspansion in the near future. No, they don`t have a pool or even being located on the shores of Lake Petenwell, but they are only one mile from the Tenth st. boat landing and beach. If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the larger campgrounds, then, just maybe this is the campground that you should check out. The lots are flat and seem to be laid out fairly well. We camped at Moonlite Trails Campgrounds LLC in a Motorhome.

McMullen Memorial County Park, Warrens, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Peacefulness is the word to describe this unique co. park. They have self-registration, an honor-system for ice and firewood, the showers are free, and the drive-thrus are long, wide, and shaded. The park is located next to 36 acre Lake Wazeda, the lake is an electric motor fishing lake. They have playgrounds throughout the park for the children, plus a swim area in the lake, the kids sure were enjoying the water. Warrens is known for the cranberries and the cranberry bogs that they are raised in. People come from all over to fish the bogs, i know because we did. We camped at McMullen Memorial County Park in a Motorhome.

Petenwell County Park, Arkdale, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

A very large park,431 acres. Has recent expansion of campsites and a new marina. We stayed in the new addition with a beach area to swim and park the boat. The park people are very helpful and friendly. The lake this park is on is the second largest in the state, fishing was good. They have a marked beach area, but where we were at,we had our own sandy beach that was shallow for quite a long distance. Great time for everyone, will be going back as this is one of our most favorite parks that we have been to. We camped at Petenwell County Park in a Motorhome.

Blackhawk Park COE, De Soto, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Back again this year, seems that the park people have been busy in their off season, a new section has had new places laid out, great job. The only problem is that they weren`t open yet, sure hope they add water along with the electrical service. This is a great park, not only do you have the campsites with electrical service, but they have a area further down the road for people that want to camp without electrical service. This park is located right on the Mississippi River with some backwater, makes for great fishing. Headed back to this campground later this fall. We camped at Blackhawk Park COE in a Motorhome.

Stayed at this park three times last year, will be going back again. A very friendly staff. Great fishing on the Mississippi River. Very family oriented, playground, swim beach, two boat landings in park with another one just before the park. ???The gnats??? Yes, we did experence them only one of the times that we were there, but, some bug candles took care of the problem. We camped at Blackhawk Park COE in a Motorhome.

This is one park of many in the busy fishing city of Chetek, location is right on the lake, staff was friendly and helpful. They are a full-service campground.
