Shenandoah Valley Campground, Mount Jackson, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is it. You want to stay in a modern, first class and beautiful campground, stop right here. The area is awesome. The host were wonderful and we will be back again. The CG is convenient to I-81. It has cabins for non-RV'ers, nice pool and play area, big nice group shelter and Jay cooks a good sandwich. Ya'll check it out and I'll guarantee you will be glad you did. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is convenient to I-40 and is very quiet. Wi-Fi like dial-up. Cable was great. Lot of permanents and some need repair. Sites are very close and OK for a one night stay if you are really tired. We camped at Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This a nice quiet campground with lots of grass and no trees. The setting is beautiful. The host are just super. Very hospitable. Near and convenient to I-40. Close to Bass Pro Shop and McDonald's. I had no internet at my site. I will go back again. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Harmony RV Park, Townsend, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was really nice and escorted to site. Beautiful lake and free fishing. Lots of cable TV channels and not sure about the Wi-Fi. No cellphone service. Roads could use some repair, but my site was pretty level. Code security gate entrance. Be sure to have plenty of mosquito spray. We camped at Lake Harmony RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Port St Lucie RV Resort, Port Saint Lucie, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

The staff is very nice and cordial. Sites are paved and road is paved. Nice swimming pool and pool table. Quite a ways from I-95 but just off U.S. 1. For what the park offers it is a bit pricey. The Wi-Fi is below standard and you must be really near or in the office to get on line. We camped at Port St Lucie RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort , Emerald Isle, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

If you are looking for a campground near the ocean and overpriced, then this is for you!! The entrance and exit is terrible and sites are as tight as you can get. Big rig, forget it. The advertising says cable TV and Wi-Fi, yes, you pay extra for that. $2 a day for cable and $7.95 a day for Internet. The site that I had could have been a bit more level. The staff in the office was very nice and very well should be for $80 a night. My family and I will not be returning. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overland RV Park, Van Buren, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Good park for overnight stay. The nicest and cleanest restrooms, showers and laundry of any RV park we have ever stayed. Interior road are gravel and a little dusty. Sites are a little bit too close for us and the traffic from I-40 is terrible. The host was very nice and sociable. The park is convenient to about any kind of shopping you would want to do and you can walk to it. We camped at Overland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Walden's Creek Campground, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

I now know how a sardine feels. Sites are entirely too small. Perimeter sites are perpendicular parking and if you don't have someone to guide you it could be a problem. The interior road is all to pieces and the internet is as slow as dial-up if you get it up at all. The Passport America ad does not tell all the restrictions but you will find out when you check in. I was thankful that I had my own bath and toilet. We will not stay here again. There are too many other parks in the area. We camped at Walden's Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice place to stay and if you do stay here, go to Jan's Seafood and try their catfish. What a treat. The staff were so nice and helpful to tell you about things in the area that might interest you. The concrete sites were big and easy to enter and exit. Cable and internet is great. We will be back. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Benchmark RV Park, Meridian, Mississippi

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is the best RV Park, by far, in the Meridian area. Staff will treat you like real people. It is a PA park and the park and amenities are as good as you will find anywhere. Concrete slabs at every site and good entrance and exit. Very quiet and only about 2 or 3 miles to town. We have stayed here before and will stay here again. We camped at Benchmark RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mayberry Campground, Mount Airy, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest RV parks we have ever stayed at in 6 yrs of RV'ing. The owners and the entire staff are what you want when you drive into a campground. They are super nice and helpful with recommendations of things in the area. The park is well manicured in the grassy areas and the interior roads are smooth even though they are gravel. The cable TV is super with a lot of channels. The internet Wi-Fi is great and the cell signal is also good. The view is awesome and they have good accommodations for groups and rally's. It is easy to access of I-74 and only about 3 or 4 miles from down town Mt. Airy. We already have a future reservation. Check it out. We camped at Mayberry Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

River Valley Campground, Cherokee, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The staff were very nice. There is no cell service in this ravine. The trash truck comes every morning at 7:30. For the location and no more amenities that they have, I think it is overpriced. If you have an emergency and have to leave, you don't get a refund. They don't give Good Sam discounts or any other discounts that I am aware of. If you stay 6 nights you do NOT get the seventh free. We camped at River Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Morgan RV Park, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is extremely over priced. Nothing is paved in the entire campground and the entrance drive has deep holes in it. The trees make it very close to drive big rigs through. It is about 11 miles from the Gulfshores activity area. The staff is very friendly. We camped here in a motorhome and would not stay here again. We camped at Fort Morgan RV Park in a Motorhome.
