Woodsmoke Camping Resort, Fort Myers, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Great park - used it for Hurricane Mathew - we were treated right. Heated pool, hot tub, great place to walk. Would go there again. We camped at Woodsmoke Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Eagle's Nest Campground, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

First off, on check-in, the office smells like stale cigarettes. Once we got to our site, we found it to be very un-level (our sewer hose ran uphill). The pool is very small and there were no lounge chairs. There are no trash cans throughout the park (even the dog walk area had no cans) - 3 dumpsters located at the far end of the park. You have to transport your own trash. The bath house (only 1) is old, but clean. The water pressure is very low (probably about 30-35 psi).
On the good side, the park is centrally located and the price was right. The weak internet can be mostly overcome by a range extender. We stayed on Site #2. We camped at Eagle's Nest Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Do not eat at Paula Dean's Family Kitchen on the Island. The food was way over priced and very bland. I'm guessing Paula Dean doesn't eat here. If going to Gatlinburg, be sure to eat at The Peddler Steakhouse - great food!

Myrtle Beach Travel Park, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

MBTP is a grade A facility all around. We stayed near the beach, good level sites and no problem for my 41' Fifth Wheel. The pool, the beach, the store - all top notch. Lots of kids, but they were no problem. Rest rooms were A/C'd and clean. We would stay here again. We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Flat Rock Bridge Family Resort, Lebanon, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Great family park, although we were there at the end of the season. The waterslide was closed, but the pool and hot tub was open (one side only). We had a family reunion and rented a cabin and trailer for family. The cabin was nice, but the master bed was only "full size". The trailer was okay, but the floor was spongy and the trailer had a large ant nest in the walls. The park has gated access which can be nice, but it was under lockdown every time friends or family came to visit. I was told no more than 1 car per lot, but the seasonal sites had up to 3 cars each. Overall, nice park - especially for families. Would stay again. We camped at Flat Rock Bridge Family Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Brookside Campground, Catskill, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

$25 is PPA rate. The campground was nice and getting better. Under new management and they are putting some money in it. The views were great, but not very close to the highway (10 miles). There are a few full timers, plenty of sites. Sites are not very level (pull-through). Would like to stay again for a few days. We camped at Brookside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lazy-A Campground, Inwood, West Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Not close to the highway and only 3 sites had sewer. No 50 amp service (30 amp only). However, clean restrooms and showers, nice views and beautiful property. Would have loved to do more than an overnight. Would stay here again - next time for a couple of days. We camped at Lazy-A Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Yates Family Camping, Harrisburg, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This "park's" not family friendly, only a few sites have sewer, and the park is in someone's backyard. No showers or toilets available. That being said, it's near the highway (I-85), the owner is nice, and Charlotte Speedway is right there. We like it for an overnight and would stay again. We camped at Yates Family Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was nice. Very secure - maybe a little overboard. The pull through site was fairly level and easy access. Would have liked to stay a couple days, but this was a quick overnight. No road noise even though they are right off the highway. Would stay here again. We camped at Appalachian Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.

Utt's Campground, Fancy Gap, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The park was clean and the owners were very nice. The tough part is the campground is on a mountain and very hard to level (we have a leveling system and were still about 1-2 degrees off level). We could have leveled if we had disconnected, but we didn't want to go through the hassle (a quick overnight). Do not attempt to get in the park after dark. The views were great and the park was pet friendly. Would stay there again. We camped at Utt's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Best park in the Macon area. The pool is clean and there is a hot tub. The showers are a little dated, but clean. The management is friendly and the access is awesome. Would stay here again. We camped at Twin Oaks RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Road Runner Travel Resort, Fort Pierce, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and friendly park. We had a lake front lot right near the store/office. Lots of activities - music on Friday and Saturday nights. We used the pool and the fire pit. All worked great. Church service on Sunday morning. Our biggest complaint was we couldn't stay longer! We would stay here again (and we will)! We camped at Road Runner Travel Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort, Cortez, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Great, little park near Anna Marie Island. The nightly rate was quoted using PPA & free night we got from the Tampa RV show. The pool was small - especially when kids were in it. The no see ums were terrible - not the parks fault. We were there over Memorial weekend, and the trash was overflowing and stinking. Other than that, restrooms were good, location was excellent. Access was good, sites were large and paved/bricked. We would stay there again. We camped at Buttonwood Inlet RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Indian Creek RV Resort, Fort Myers Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $22.00

Lots of permanent RVs in the RV section. The mobile home section was separate. The pool was great, however, no floats allowed. The resort was clean and the bathrooms were good. We would stay again - however, bring a screen house as the no-see-ums are brutal! We camped at Indian Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Joy RV Park, Cocoa, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The park was great for an overnight. It was easy access from I-95. The hookups were a little bit of a pain as the water was not set in the area you would expect. The sites were level. The pool was great and the bath houses were the best we had seen. The only "drawback" was the alcohol policy - we enjoy a cocktail when we get set up and the pool would have been great to enjoy it in. However, policy here is "no alcohol" in site. Because of this, I wouldn't stay here long term, but we survived for an overnight. We camped at Joy RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Florence RV Park (formerly Florence KOA), Florence, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park looks great coming in, and that's where it stops. The site we initially pulled into (F8) had a power problem that my surge protector picked up. We then moved to F9. The rain started as we moved, and that site floods out. The cable was really Direct TV and as everyone knows, rain & satellite do not mix. The internet was also satellite. The bath houses were clean but smelled moldy. The shower I used had a door that would not properly close. Maintenance here does not seam to be a priority. Easy access from I-95. We camped at Florence RV Park (formerly Florence KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.
