Carlsbad KOA, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: February, 2006 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here three weeks while exploring the southeast region of New Mexico. Overall this is an excellent campground with very well maintained facilities. Well stocked store. The sites are all wide pull-throughs and level with easy access to hookups. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

South of the Border, Dillon, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2005 - $17.00

We only over-nighted here. The sites were paved, wide and clean. Doesn't look like there's much around the area other then PedroLand (which is kitch to the max). Based on what we saw there, it wouldn't be a good vacation spot for adults, kids might like it though. We camped at South of the Border in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakewood Camping Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2005 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here about 4 days, check-in was easy and the staff friendly. The sites are at best okay. We were near the beach so the site were very sandy to the point where our rig was sinking in. Our biggest complaint is the sites are very narrow and close together. Basically they squeeze as many sites as they can onto the property. I suppose this would be great if one was camping with a group but, I have a problem with the next rigs sewer dump being right by our picnic table. Also, they rent golf carts to campers which many people seem to think are race cars. We had a couple of close calls between our truck and carts. I suspect the place is a zoo during high season. We'll find another place to stay if we're in the area again. We camped at Lakewood Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
