OK RV Park, Holbrook, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient to the I-40, this is a good place to stay overnight. We always stay in the 50 amp section, it's not quite as crowded as the 30 amp section. The spaces are narrow but very long and they alternate parking to provide plenty of room for any size rig. Park is very dog friendly. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The surprising thing about this little town is the Mesa Italiano restaurant. A favorite of locals, it's located on business I-40 at the east end of town. They serve really good Italian food at reasonable prices. Also, there is a gas station just outside of the park that has easy access even when pulling a tow car.

Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

When we drive east on the I-40 from Yucca Valley we always stay at this park. The park is kept clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The park is easy to reach from the I-40 and very easy to drive around in. Spaces are wider than most. We like the convenience of a gas station with a restaurant just outside the park. We camped at Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel in a Motorhome.

If you don't mind driving to Kingman there is every store you might need there. We like eating out and a favorite place for good Mexican food is the El Palacio in old Kingman. Our favorite steak house is the Dam Bar. They also serve good burgers and fries and bring great cheese biscuits with every meal. Every fast food franchise is there along with many other good places to eat.

Tillamook / Bay City RV Park, Tillamook, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We were there over the Fourth of July. Very busy. Still, it was nice. We've stayed here before and would stay here again. Close to Tillamook, the Cheese Factory, markets, restaurants. No trees so our satellite worked well. Dog friendly. We camped at Tillamook / Bay City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tillamook Cheese Factory nearby. Get there early for breakfast and eat with the town locals. Take the train from Garibaldi to Rockaway Beach for a fun thing to do. Good restaurants at the marina in Garibaldi. Try the Pirates Cove just north of town for a great fish dinner.

Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We always stay at this park when traveling north on the I-15 from Palm Springs, CA to Utah. It is convenient to the freeway, restaurants and gas stations. They provide a good, clean and reasonably safe place to spend the night. There is a restaurant on site that provides good food at reasonable prices so you don't have to unhitch and drive out to dinner.
We will stay at this park again. We camped at Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel in a Motorhome.

Crown Villa RV Resort, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $76.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with very large spaces. Follow their instructions about how to reach the park. Friendly staff. Our only complaint was too many trees, our satellite dish didn't work there. Pet friendly, large grassy area to walk our dogs just behind our rig. We have stayed there before and would stay there again if in the area. We camped at Crown Villa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Perfect spot for an overnight stay if traveling between Idaho and Oregon. This park is located just outside of town and is very quiet, clean and nicely kept. Friendly staff. We had a bird house just outside our door and enjoyed watching mama bird feed her baby. This park is very pet friendly and our satellite dish worked great. Would gladly stay there again. This is one of our favorite parks. Very clean, well kept with friendly management. Large spaces with table and lawn. No trees to block our satellite reception. Close to town, restaurants and service stations. Dog friendly, just a nice place to stay. We stayed there a week and enjoyed every day. Quiet at night. Hated to leave but there other places were calling to us. We definitely would stay there again. We camped at Ambassador RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pony Express RV Resort, North Salt Lake, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We requested and received a spot facing South toward the open area bike path. A great place to walk the dogs. This park is very clean, well kept and nice to stay at with large spaces. Easy to reach off the Freeway, a little north of town but not inconvenient. This was our second stay there and we would gladly stay there again. This time we stayed there a week and found plenty of restaurants to enjoy and places to explore. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cedar City KOA, Cedar City, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

This was our third stay at this park. We keep returning because it is clean, easy to get to and convenient to Cedar City. This time we stayed in a side by side site that we actually really liked. The park is pet friendly, our two Boston Terriers liked walking around there. We were there five very quiet nights. We have a roof top satellite dish and prefer to stay in sites without trees. This one was perfect. We will stay at this park again. We camped at Cedar City KOA in a Motorhome.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We often travel in New Mexico and stay at this park. Friendly staff and the park is very well kept, grass mowed, trees and shrubs pruned and weeds kept to a minimum. Our space was plenty wide enough to put out slides on both sides of our rig and long enough to park our truck in front of it. Our site was level, paved, and came with a small concrete patio and table. They placed us close to the dog run and next to a green space. Cable TV was good, could have used a program guide channel, though. This is our favorite park for overnight or longer stays when visiting Albuquerque. We will happily stay here again. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground, Buellton, California

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed at this park twice before and have had a fairly good experience. This time though we opted for a super premium end space and it turned out to be a doggie potty spot. One man stood just outside our space talking to a park staffer while his German Shepard did his thing. He walked away without cleaning it up and the staffer didn't say a thing. A large group of Country Coach people came in a row or two away and they all headed for our space with their dogs. We will by-pass this park in the future. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Premier RV Resorts of Redding , Redding, California

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We were looking for a park new to us to stay in while in Redding and couldn't have picked a better place. Check in was easy, the staff was polite and we were given a space in the new section where our satellite dish would work. The owners keep this place extremely clean and neat. Even the long term residents spaces were neat. Our space had a level concrete pad with a paver patio and a nice table. The cable TV was very clear. Even though the park is close to the freeway, there is no freeway noise. Very quiet at night. Park is also close to a major market and drugstore as well as almost any other store you might need. We found the park to be very dog friendly. The owner is proud of his park and it shows everywhere you look. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Premier RV Resorts of Redding in a Motorhome.

Yreka RV Park, Yreka, California

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We just spent three quiet and peaceful nights at this park. This place is dog friendly, people friendly and a great place to stay. The spaces are plenty wide enough and long enough if you aren't towing a 100' monstrosity. Our satellite dish worked great here and the cable was clear and joy to watch. We eat out a lot and there are several good restaurants in town for breakfast, lunch or/and dinner. Only complaint, and it isn't a big one, is that the park could do more to control the weeds growing in the long term tenants spaces. This park is going to be on our list of "stay at" parks as we travel on the I-5 Interstate. I would have rated this park a 10 except that the spaces are not level. They tend to slope down in front and down on the left side. The motorhome parked in the space in front of ours didn't have levelers and I don't know how they coped with the angle they were parked on. Anyway that aside this is a great park. On the plus side there is a great gas station with diesel and gas about 5 miles south of town off the I-5 at the Easy street off ramp. Open 24/7, lots of room for any size rig, and the price was the cheapest we found in the area. We camped at Yreka RV Park in a Motorhome.

Seven Feathers RV Park, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

There are times when even a triple 10 Trailer Life or a 5 star Woodalls rating will guarantee a good stay in a park. We were looking forward to spending a pleasant week here and our stay was not as expected. Upon checking in the space set aside for us was still occupied so we were shuffled off to a space with a noisy electrical transformer in the grassy area just outside our coach door. This park is unique in that all the electrical distribution transformers are placed in the middle pad next to the patio table. The electrical hookup pedestals are also oddly placed. I could sit at my neighbors patio table while plugging into the electrical outlet. When we asked to be assigned another space we were told to wait until the next morning and we could move. I went to the office in the morning and asked again to be moved. The clerk said someone was leaving and she would have the site checked and then assign it to us. The site checker called in and said the site was ready and we were allowed to move. When we pulled onto the site we found there had been a big sewage spill that covered about one third of the space. I went to the office again and asked that we either be moved or that the site be cleaned up. After about an hour a maintenance worked arrived and did a so-so job of cleaning up. We have been RVing for many years and have never been assigned a space with sewage on it. It certainly wasn't expected at such a highly rated park. The park staff never came to the site to see if we were happy, never apologized for the mess. We will definitely never stay at this poorly managed park again. I have written many reviews of other parks and have always been generous in giving high marks to marginal parks. This one barely deserved the 1/2 star. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Park in a Motorhome.
