On the plus side....nice wide sites on gravel which is typical for this area. They have landscaping between each site for privacy. Wifi worked well. Lots of TV channels. Nice dog run area. Garbage is picked up at your site every morning. Close to I-10 but noise not an issue. Now for the negative.......no pool. Found the staff in the office to be very unfriendly and never saw any staff in the park during the day except the person who picked up the garbage. Mesilla Village is over-rated. Lots of little shops but a bit of a tourist trap. La Posta Restaurant was okay but we have eaten better Mexican food at Mom & Pop Mexican restaurants, for far less money. Enjoyed the Farmer's Market downtown.

The park is under renovation and the new sites that have been put in are nice & level, with good hook-ups that are easy to reach. The park owners are very friendly and gave us recommendations of places to see while we were here and a good restaurant. There are some permanent residents in the park but they are located towards the back of the park. Wi-Fi worked well during our stay. Laundry room was small (3 washers & 3 dryers) but clean. We would stay here again.

The rate of $27.00 per night was discounted from their normal $30.00 rate because we paid cash. This was our 2nd time staying in the park and since the last time, it seems that a lot of full time residents have moved in. The park is essentially a gravel parking lot but it has modern hookups and enough space between sites. There is a nice dog pen. We were not able to get connected to Wi-Fi until after 10 PM when I imagine other users had logged off for the night. There is a bit of traffic noise from I-10 but not that bad. If we were passing through the area again, we would stay here. The park is good for an overnight stop but there's not much in the area to keep us here longer than one night.

Nice campground, just south of I-10 about half way between San Antonio and Houston. People in the office were very friendly. The sites are close and I think a lot of the residents are permanent. With the receipt, campers get 10% off at Frank's Restaurant which is a short walk from the walk and well worth going to. Wifi worked well. Not many TV channels on their cable system.

This is a beautiful park. All the sites are concrete pads and the sites are quite large. I think there are a lot of permanent residents in the park. The only complaint we have was their Internet. It's supplied by TengoInternet and for some reason, we could not get connected and the lady in the office was not very helpful or concerned. The park is well off I-20 so there is no road noise.

This is an older KOA and needs work. The sites are not long and if you try to make an on-line reservation, you will be asked to unhook your rig to get onto certain sites. The sites are not level and they are close together. Wi-Fi was very poor and road noise was an issue. There's not much to do in the area so this is a park for an overnight stay while passing through the area but there's nothing here to entice you to stay longer. The Log Cabin Restaurant, on the corner about 1/2 mile from the park, is very good. An RVer beside us decided to start his diesel truck at 4 AM and let it run beside us for over 30 minutes.

The park is quite large and is not laid out very well. If you camped here during the peak season, I think it would be very difficult to find your site or get in and out of it. The park is just a few minutes south of Louisville and we were hoping that they offered a shuttle service into the attractions in the city or had an agreement with a tour operator to pick campers up and drop them off again. The KOA in West Memphis offers this service and it's great. We had to unhook and drive into Louisville, where there is major highway construction on I-65 so getting around was confusing and the GPS wasn't much help. There is lots to see and do in Louisville and I think RVers would really appreciate not having to unhook and drive to them. The park is far enough off the interstate so there is no road noise and the Wi-Fi worked well. We would stay here again for a night or two.

This is a nice quiet park. It's a few miles off the interstate so no issues with traffic but we did hear the occasional train although that does not bother us. The park is clean and well maintained and the staff are friendly. Our only complaint about this park would be the speed bump by the entrance. It is really bad! I doubt that many RV'ers are driving their rigs fast enough that the park had to go to that extreme to try to slow them down.

We have stayed at this KOA many times on our way south in the Fall and north in the Spring. It is a really convenient location. The sites are really close together and I don't think we would enjoy it much if we were staying for any length of time but for a night or two, it is fine. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. They offer a nice breakfast each morning for a nominal fee. The interstate runs by the park but we barely notice the traffic noise. We will stay here again.

This is a beautiful park. We only stayed one night but it would have been nice to have had more time to stay longer. The sites are roomy and the Wi-Fi worked great. There is a dog walk area as well as a nature trail at the back of the park. As we pulled into our site, we realized that we had a flat tire on our 5th wheel and the lady in the office was great to help us out by phoning around to find a local business that could repair or replace it for us. Someone showed up before 8am the next morning & our trip was only slightly delayed. We would definitely stay at this park again.

Fee paid represents a Good Sam discount. We only stayed here one night and our only complaint would be the Wi-Fi which was very unreliable & kept cutting out. The office staff were very friendly and helpful and the manager escorted us to our site, which we like so we know exactly where we're going. The lady at the front desk recommended a great BBQ place, a 2 block walk from the park for supper. The park is clean and well looked after and it was quiet with no road noise so we had a good sleep. We would stay here again.

The sites are a generous size and there is lots of room between each of them. It was a nice modern park and the Wi-Fi worked well while we were there. There are several things about it that we were not impressed with however. It costs $2.00 for washers & dryers if you need to do laundry which is more than we have ever paid at an RV park. There is no propane on site. Pack enough food to last for your entire trip! I needed some bread part way through and had to pay $5.20 for a loaf at the general store. Diesel fuel was $4.26/gallon. It was very hot during the day and the pool was freezing so we were unable to use it. If you go there, make sure you stop at the little pizza restaurant just outside Terlingua. I can't remember the name but it is on the left hand side as you leave Terlingua, headed for Lajitas. Don't eat at the Lajitas Resort!! The food isn't all that great and it's over priced. If you're a golfer, be prepared to pay $129.00 green fees to play 18 holes. The Big Bend area is quite spectacular and worth the trip but Lajitas Maverick RV Park could be better.

The park itself is clean and well cared for, but the area surrounding it is terrible and we did not feel safe. We heard that several people from the campground had their vehicles broken into at the local WalMart while we were there. There are some permanent homes in the park and they are all well taken care of and there seems to be a lot of return visitors who winter in the park every year. There was a monthly calendar of events, posted in the laundry room and it seems like they have some activities in the park but not nearly as many as we have seen in other parks. A lot of the permanent sites are very close together. The Wi-Fi was okay but not great.

This is a great little park. It is far enough off hwy 10, that road noise is not a problem. The park looks fairly new & is laid out really well. The manager was very friendly & offered us good advice about our driving route for the next day. There is a nice pet walk area. Wifi works really well. We would definitely stay here again if driving through this area.

We have stayed here several times. The park is well maintained and the staff are friendly. I wouldn't want to be here during peak times when the park was full as the sites are very narrow and close together. They have garbage pick-up each day at the site. The WiFi worked well and they have a good selection of tv channels. We will stay here again.
