Winter Quarters Manatee RV Resort, Bradenton, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

REALLY friendly and helpful staff. Gave me a spot right across from the clubhouse, pool, hot tub and lake. So many things going on all the time, planned by staff and volunteers, that you can't possibly do them all. Good restaurants nearby. Nice, clean laundry very reasonably priced. Wal-Mart is one mile down the road. Good access to Sarasota, airport, St. Petersburg, Anna Maria Island and I-75. Would DEFINITELY stay there again. We camped at Winter Quarters Manatee RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fort Myers Beach RV Resort, Fort Myers, Florida

Clean, friendly, helpful staff. Warmest heated pool I've ever been in. Cool diner across the street and another cool restaurant down the street (Cadillac) - both within walking distance. Lots of consignment shops within 3 mile radius. Easy access to Sanibel/Captiva. Would definitely stay there again. We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Ft. Myers / Pine Island KOA, Saint James City, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Closest thing to a trailer park in the middle of nowhere that I've seen. Nothing around to go to except a few restaurants. Matlacha is is supposed to be an 'art' community nearby (bunch of junk). Gave me a "lake front" at first: think big pond with cattails all the way around. But the hookups were so strange you either needed a 30' sewer extension or 30' electric extension. Next spot was 1/4 mile from the dinky pool. No trees, nothing to look at except the lady next door's 40 DD's hanging on her awning. Spots are so close: my neighbor is approximately 3 feet from my back end of camper. Booked a week, leaving after 3 days and forfeiting my money for the rest just to get out of here! We camped at Ft. Myers / Pine Island KOA in a Motorhome.
