Fortune Bay Resort Casino RV Park, Tower, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

More attention could be paid to the campground. There was no attendant on site. The first night we were here the showers were filthy. They were cleaned better the 2nd day, but could still be quite a bit better. I wish they'd add sewer to sites. We camped at Fortune Bay Resort Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hoodoo Point Campground (City Park), Tower, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This campground needs a lot of work. The interior roads are full of holes and the sites are small, muddy, and not maintained. I would only stay here as a very last choice. We camped at Hoodoo Point Campground (City Park) in a Motorhome.

Bozeman Hot Springs Campground (formerly Bozeman KOA), Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

When we called the day before to inquire about the campground, we were under the impression that this was a KOA campground. When we drove to the campground there was no sign signifying that a KOA existed. Not until we entered the building did we find out that it was no longer a KOA. They did, however, take our KOA card discount but we were told that after this season they will not honor the KOA discount or any other discount cards.

While we tried to check in, the clerk apparently had no idea how to use the "new" computer system because not once but 4 times she tried to enter in our information. After the 3rd time, I suggested that she write the information down and bring our receipt out to our site once she was able to figure out how to enter it.

The sites are very close together. When I went to use the laundry facilities, I found out that the washer costs $2 and the dryer costs .50 per 10 minutes. We travel all over the country and this was the most expensive laundry we've ever come across.

The WiFi is terrible! There were very few RVs at the campground so there shouldn't have been any problem with the WiFi. When I reported the problem to the clerk, I was told "oh sorry" but nothing was done to fix the problem.

The only good thing about this campground is that it is close to the hot springs. The campground gives you a "free" wristband for one day's use. Sorry, I don't think that justifies the cost of this lousy campground.

The final straw was when I reported a strong skunk smell near our site to the office clerk, I was told "Yes, there is a family living somewhere near you". This is ridiculous, why isn't the problem being remedied. We camped at Bozeman Hot Springs Campground (formerly Bozeman KOA) in a Motorhome.

The Riverside Ranch (formerly Riverside Resort & RV Park), Hatch, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This RV Park/Motel is under new Management. They are very friendly and are working hard to please their customers and make improvements to the Park. We had to move to a different site when we first arrived because the 50 amp site we were assigned was not grounded when we put our tester to work. We moved to a different 50 amp site and it was working fine. The view can't be beat from this RV Park. I would definitely recommend this RV Park. We camped at The Riverside Ranch (formerly Riverside Resort & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Bemidji KOA, Bemidji, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This park is OK. Sites are shaded, but very little has been done to keep them up to date. No activities, not very family friendly. Outdated mini golf. Owners are very unfriendly, not customer oriented at all. Not sure how they became 2014 Presidents Award winner, must not be very big guidelines to be awarded. We camped at Bemidji KOA in a Motorhome.

Meridian RV Resort (55+ park), Apache Junction, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

I was very disappointed in this park. We do not agree with the previous reviews. The management was awful, absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! We were packed into their sites like sardines. Our view was of other RV's and a cement wall, don't stay here if you're claustrophobic. When I went to the office to complain about a dog that barked all night long, I was told by the Park Manager "if you don't like it you can leave, we have plenty of people who want to stay here". The campers that we met were very nice; however, they too said that the manager was awful. That unless you were a very good friend of hers you don't dare cross her or she will throw you out of the park. The park is clean and neat, but I would stay at a Walmart parking lot before staying here again. We camped at Meridian RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is a gem of a KOA! Nice site size and very, very friendly staff. We had a beautiful view of Superstition Mountain. Nice and clean campground. My only complaint is that the WiFi was less than good. We would stay here again. We camped at Mesa / Apache Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Canyon Vistas RV Resort (55+ park), Gold Canyon, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 6 nights free after looking at their Superstition Views Casitas. We had a beautiful view of Superstition Mountain. The park is very nicely laid out. We stayed in the short term area of the park. Many of the residents that we met here were very very friendly. The facilities are wonderful. The pools at Superstition Views and Canyon Vistas are beautiful! My only complaint is that the WiFi is terrible! If they could make that amenity better, it would be a excellent park. We camped at Canyon Vistas RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Cantwell RV Park, Cantwell, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This campground has the cleanest showers and restrooms that I have ever seen. The showers are disinfected after each use. The laundry facilities are cleaner than my own, also wiped out after each use. They also have a little gift shop with prices that are less than any other gift shop in the area. Denali National Park is only 27 miles north of this park. We camped at Cantwell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hobson Beach Campground, Ventura, California

Overall Rating:

The view of the Channel Islands, Santa Cruz Island, is beautiful. You are also able to watch the dolphins, surfers, paddle boarders, and fishing boats right from your motorhome. We dry camped right next to the ocean; for a few dollars more you can pay a little extra and hook up to electric, water and sewer. It is a very tranquil spot and we'd love to come back again! We camped at Hobson Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Acton / Los Angeles North KOA, Acton, California

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We LOVED this campground! The view is very beautiful; at night you can hear the lions roar from Shambala Preserve just down the road from the campground. The staff is very friendly; the park facilities are very clean; and the location is very private. This is a campground you'd want to go to if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of life. We camped at Acton / Los Angeles North KOA in a Motorhome.
