Our first fall visit and we loved this park. The fall colors were amazing in the park and on the nature trails. Nice clean well maintained park with wooded campsites. Has cable TV and Wi-Fi that works great! We enjoyed the area golf courses and the casino was nice too. We'll return for another stay. We camped at Kalkaska RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

P.H. Hoeft State Park, Rogers City, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful campground with clean restrooms, wooded spacious campsites and great beach lake front sites. Great for rock hounding and nice sunsets. Staff was very friendly and helpful with local information. Poor cell phone reception. No one in our group could get a good connection, but a short distance to town for Wi-Fi and cell reception if that is important to you. We camped at P.H. Hoeft State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Gitche Gumee RV Park, Marquette, Michigan

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

No answer on the phone prior to our arrival to inquire about availability. Rates are NOT listed on website. No one in the office when we arrived. We walked around and when owner finally arrived he quoted a different rate than the one that was on the rate sheet located at the desk. I don't like playing these games. Either post the rates or provide the same rates that are on the desk. We camped at Gitche Gumee RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Fanny Hooe Resort & Campground, Copper Harbor, Michigan

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly manager, staff and quiet park. The goose droppings were very bad. We selected a site in back away from the droppings. Restrooms and laundry room very clean. Wi-Fi had a poor signal strength, had to move to clubhouse to get a signal. Located within walking distance of town. NO cell phone signals in the area, the town needs to work on this issue for tourists. Would camp here again loved the area. Nice vacation spot. We camped at Lake Fanny Hooe Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
