A+ Motel & RV Park, Sulphur, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Overall you get good value for your money. During check-in process you get TWO extra papers with pictures and specific rules how to protect the grass...: do NOT put electric cables, water- and sewer hoses on the grass, they need to stay on the concrete !!! This approach seems to work and everybody knows right from the get-go "Don't Mess With Park Rules". We camped at A+ Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pacific Mobile Manor, Apache Junction, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Daily rate based on monthly stay, electricity is an extra charge based on meter-readings. These 20 camping sides are basically added to a large mobile home park and campers can use all park facilities, including very nice pool, hot tub, showers, recreation rooms, etc. Very active 55+ community with bingo, pot-luck and dancing specials. The camp-sides are just long enough to fit a 42Ft RV with 4 slide-outs. Your extra car fits tightly next to the RV but then there is no more space left over to enjoy. Some campers put their car on the gravel main road and stay alert for moving it when new RV's come in or go out. The free Wi-Fi worked very well in the AC cooled entertainment rooms. As an extra bonus they organize (seasonal) tours to pick oranges and grapefruits which you can keep for free. We very much enjoyed our stay and will come back again. We camped at Pacific Mobile Manor in a Motorhome.

Turquoise Triangle RV Park, Cottonwood, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is based on monthly CASH fees, incl. electric. Previous reviews generally reflect our findings. We could not get information from their web-site because it probably has been hacked and fully translated into Korean language. Another web-site with closely the same name was taken off the internet due to non-payment. Anyhow, the entrance to the park for big rigs is tricky due to a hard right with limited space and heavy on-going traffic on Rt.89A. We had to continue to the next traffic-light and make a U-turn using a wide open area. Subsequently we returned and used the center-lane to safely enter the camping to the left. Do NOT use Rt.89A from Flagstaff or from Prescott due to steep mountain roads, better use Rt.260 from I-17 to Cottonwood. We camped at Turquoise Triangle RV Park in a Motorhome.

Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Daily PA rate can be used for one week maximum during low season. We left one day earlier due to freezing nightly weather and we were pleasantly surprised that we received one day refund. The big Safeway store is just a 5 minutes walk, so is Main street with all the special Route 66 shops. We love to come back here, however, we hope that authorities will repair highway I-40 soon, it was no fun to drive a big rig over long stretches of damaged asphalt. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Riverside Resort RV Park, Laughlin, Nevada

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

Extreme rates for the Holidays while campground had still hundreds of sites available. If you like strong winds, this is the place to be. Multiple days and nights of continuously 30, 40, 50mph canyon winds. Showers have very noisy high speed exhaust fans, which are running 24x7x365. The (below average) bathrooms are protected by hi-tech, no-touch, 5-star security keys, which can be obtained with a $2 credit card deposit at the office. Still waiting on my refund after returning these keys. The 50 feet wide asphalt interior roads are used as a racetrack by maintenance vehicles and some RV-ers. Many individual camp-sites have 4 electric outlets, 2x30amps and 2x20amps; modern 50 amps are nowhere to be found. We will not camp here again. By the way, did we mention the very strong winds?? We camped at Riverside Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Leeds RV Park & Motel, Leeds, Utah

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Nightly rate is based on monthly charges, excluding separate electricity fees. Each site now has a picnic table and you can use a credit card for payments. The hosts organized a Thanksgiving pot-luck and supplied turkey and ham. Trees blocked our dish, but that was not a real problem because the free cable had an overwhelming number of good TV+radio channels. Free Wi-Fi worked very OK in the clubhouse, but not at our campsite. This is a peaceful and friendly campground; we will return again when we are in the area. We camped at Leeds RV Park & Motel in a Motorhome.

Circle L Mobile Home Community, Layton, Utah

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Based on previous comments we were confident to choose this park and we decided to stay three weeks. Yes, the speed-bumps do exactly what they suppose to do, that is: slow down traffic on the smooth asphalt roads. Camping World is only a couple of minutes down the road for supplies and repairs. The close-by train tracks were a surprise, but somehow these trains do NOT use their horns, they only make small vibrations of the ground and for us that was not a problem. We will come back again to enjoy this friendly RV/mobile home park. We camped at Circle L Mobile Home Community in a Motorhome.

Rustic Wagon RV Campground and Cabins, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We came here the very same day Yellowstone Park opened again after the Government shutdown. It was not crowded and the weather was very nice during our 3 days of visit. The restrooms at the camping were spotless and were kept nicely warm inside while outside it was freezing during the nights. We went to the Imax-theater with a discount coupon from the camping and overall we were very happy with the camping so close by located to the West entrance of Yellowstone Park. A second visit is very possible in the near future. We camped at Rustic Wagon RV Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Bannock County Fairgrounds, Pocatello, Idaho

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here a full week and there were only two other families during our stay, so plenty of space available. Did not see any management during our stay so we used the self-registration facilities. Very convenient location, no highway noise, easy in-n-out access, clear skies for our satellite. Individual water supplies were already cut-off for the winter, but there was a central water-faucet working close by the dump-station. Restrooms and showers were OK, however, a little more heat inside the building would be helpful. Overall, we had a good time and will certainly come back again. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Wranglers Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA, Golden Pond, Kentucky

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

More than five years ago the previous review detailed this park perfectly. It was enough information for us to enjoy a 10 nights stay. All sites are huge (in average more than 2,000 Sq ft), although part of that space is dedicated for the horses, which we do not have. Cell-phone service does not work in all spots, but the friendly other campers will quickly share their favorite locations with you. Restrooms and showers were average State Park quality. We will come back. We camped at Wranglers Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA in a Motorhome.

Piney Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA, Dover, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here the last four nights of the season and a lot of sites had already the water cut off. Various restrooms and showers were available through the park. They are in the process of renovating these buildings and the results are fantastic. We could choose from a lot of nice river-view camp-sides and had no problems driving and leveling our 42 foot rig. Our satellite worked OK between all those trees without leaves. We will be back !! We camped at Piney Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA in a Motorhome.

Singing Hills RV Park & Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

With PA we stayed here 9 nights and got an excellent deal. Location is great to visit many caverns and the Corvette museum. Wi-Fi was always very good and owners were helpful and friendly. There seemed to be only three seasonal campers and they kept their place in decent shape. Although we needed some extra boards, the leveling was not too bad. We will certainly come back again. Do not trust your GPS, call the office for directions. We camped at Singing Hills RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Bayou Segnette State Park, Westwego, Louisiana

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Great State Park, wide open spaces, great nature surroundings. Remote construction of new levies still going on, so remote noise might be an issue, but has an acceptable level and timing. Good security thru Park-Rangers. Will certainly come back in future. We camped at Bayou Segnette State Park in a Motorhome.
