Northgate RV Travel Park, Athens, Alabama

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Easy on/off Hwy 65. Nice, quiet park with all "pull through" sites with water, sewer and 30 or 50amp. No bathhouse. Set up for "overnight" travelers. We camped at Northgate RV Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Village Creek State Park, Wynne, Arkansas

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Great park that covers a very large area offering great views, nature walks and lots of wildlife. Camp sites are among the best I have seen. All roads and sites are paved. Each site had a gravel area with table and fire pit. All sites sit elevated above the lake. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We camped at Village Creek State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Arkadelphia Campground, Arkadelphia, Arkansas

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access off 30, but you get noise from highway at campsite. Facilities are very clean and everything "works" as advertised. Park is mostly gravel and "hilly". Good park for an overnight. We camped at Arkadelphia Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Grand Isle State Park, Grand Isle, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. They are working on second bath house. The current bath house is new and very nice. Fishing pier also looks new and is great. Staff and hosts were wonderful. Beach is cleaned daily, but you still pick up some tar balls on your shoes. Pelicans and dolphins daily. Wi-Fi was solid. We camped at Grand Isle State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Buccaneer State Park, Waveland, Mississippi

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Not finished with rebuild post Katrina. What they have is top notch. Great layout with space/privacy between sites and water/sewer are well planned. Bathrooms are the best we have seen although hot water was a bit cool. Lots of birds. Great quiet stay. We camped at Buccaneer State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pontchartrain Landing, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Great staff with good start on some of the infrastructure. Clean grounds with mix of long term people. Only one restroom for men, one for women and men was "out or order" 2 of my 3 days there. They were working on their Wi-Fi but it was not performing 2 of the 3 days. Cable very "snowy" on local channels. Noise at night from work on near bye levy. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Fifth Wheel.
