The good points of this campground is the Location. Right across the street from the Dixie Queen dock, and all the boat rides. The roads are narrow and winding. The sites are hard to get in, as they are allowing young trees to grow up in places that cause them to interfere with backing in the spaces. Our water faucet for hookups is leaking and has been since before we came. There was also a 500 pound brown bear going through the garbage cans, and when we alerted the park, they said clap your hands. They didn't move really quickly to rid the campground of the bear, and I believe this is a serious threat as they allow tent camping. The sites are narrow and close together. The girl in the office mixed up everyones reservation and put us in the wrong spot, and we paid extra for the specific spot.. I don't think we'll be back.

This is an OK campground. The whole thing is gravel and the sites aren't level side to side. It is clean and quiet. Management is friendly and helpful. We spend the night here when traveling through the area, and have spent a week here when we were touring in the area. KOA's in general are a bit over priced, but we still pay the price to stay here.

We always stay here traveling east or west. The sites are wide enough for our slide-outs. The management is on-site and were very helpful, taking our propane tank when we were in our site and filling it for us and bringing it back to our site. They also have a breakfast and dinner menu that you can choose from for a small fee. I personally liked this since I was tired from driving all day and didn't feel like cooking.

This is a great place to stay. They've done some updating to the electrical system, and the 50 amp worked very well. We were surprised there wasn't an attendant when we checked in, but we did fill out the envelop with the correct information. When my husband went up to the office at the time they said they were open we were treated to a very nice surprise of a large bag of goodies, cookies, candy canes, a small calendar and a pen, as a Christmas "Thank you" gift. They also gave our dogs a bag each of several chew bones. Nice surprise that we had no idea we were about to get. We always stay here when traveling East or West, and have never been disappointed.

This is a great campground except for a little noise from the permanent residents coming in and when their music was turned way up. Otherwise, once the sun went down, it was quiet. Very nicely graveled sites, and all utilities worked very well. Owner said he'd catch up with us on paying for our site, but he never came back to collect. There is a drop box for payment, but we didn't know how much it was. I'll have to mail him a payment after I call and ask what the price was. My husband went to the office 5 times, and the sign that the manager would be back was always there, and the office wasn't open. I would say the best bet is to call ahead, and be sure and get the price, because they can't stay in business if we don't pay for the site.

This is an ok overnight stay. The campground was clean, and the management friendly. Excellent cable TV connections. It's on the side of a hill with I-40 close by so if you don't like highway noise, this isn't the one. There's another road right behind it, but it seemed quiet. It's easily accessible and good for an overnight stay. This is our second time staying here. We would stay here each time we pass through TN on I-40. Sites are a little short, but adequate with no extra space.

Easy to find off of I-85 out of Spartanburg. We were put into a freshly graveled and leveled site. It was clean quiet and peaceful. Just a little highway noise from I-85. The camp store is really nice, and the staff goes out of your way to make you comfortable and welcome. It looks like they are working hard to update this campground. I would stay here again.

We've camped here since 2003, and it's always neat, clean, and well cared for. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. The dog park is a great asset as we bring our dogs. The park is convenient to many places. We will come back here again and again.

We stay here every year at least once and more often if we can schedule it. The campground is neat and clean as always. One thing they took away was the discount card. The only discounts they give is if you stay at least a week, you get a reduced rate. Otherwise they offer no club discounts of any kind. They did not give us any brochures or paperwork pertaining to the Myrtle Beach area upon check in, which made me wonder if they were trying to conserve resources. Another thing that could be more convenient for some of the people who stay there would be that there would be more than one bath house on the property. The property is quite large, and campsites have doubled in the past few years, but no extra bathhouse.

We stay here every year throughout the season. We started a little early this year, and found the campgrounds fairly messy. Ranger station unattended upon entry, however we were flagged down as we approached our site, and were asked about reservations, and then told that there would be a ranger by later with our paperwork. They seemed very focused for what manpower they had on checking the garbage cans often for beer cans or ?, coming through every couple hours. Seems like they could better use some of the time raking camp sites out from all the debris coming from the trees.

This is the third time we've stayed here. This is a really good park. Great pools (3 of them), friendly staff, quiet. The TV reception continues to be bad, but we have worked around that. There are plenty of wide flat campsites, and they've upgraded many of the sites to 50 amp, from our visit last year. This is one of our favorite "go to" locations, and we'll definitely come back. The staff really work at maintaining this park. I only marked the cost as 1$ because it wouldn't take 0. It's a member preserve.

We stayed here one night. Since we had no reservations we got a site with water and electricity only. As previously stated the roads are narrow, full of potholes and you do have to wind around the entire campground to get into a site, or out of your site to leave. They definitely need to re-think the routing here. I wouldn't appreciate the constant traffic of people coming and going by my campsite and the dust generated.

We spent 4 nights here for a family reunion. Campground is very basic. Wi-Fi works well. Country store is cute, and staff is friendly. Gravel roads in park are very rutted, but it has been raining hard for a while. Very close to the highway slowing down to go into town. Jake brakes on big rigs can cause you to jump. We had a permanent person next to us who was very loud, leaving before 5 am 2 of the mornings. He should have been put in the back with the rest of the permanent people. It's about half full of permanent residents. The staff maintains the campground every day, but the ruts need to have gravel packed in, as they form. Convenient to stores, etc.

This is a pleasant surprise. Very rural area, and our GPS didn't even think Stanton existed. The owners said it didn't and to use Sullivan to find it. Easy to find though if your are on the Interstate. Adequate signs to point the direction off exit 230. Clean and well kept. Small but adequate for an over night stay or a few days exploring. They have some sort of canoe business going. Great food. We had the half rack of baby back ribs. Potato salad was great. We will use this again if we pass by this area.

This campground is in an industrial setting. It's very hard to find. Once here, it's pleasant. Typical older KOA: fairly clean and sites are close together. The staff is friendly and tries to accommodate your needs. They need to put up GPS directions, because if you use your GPS coming from Indiana, it gives you a bogus destination which is just a commercial site. It is not well marked. Finally, after a phone call and turning around, we found it going the other direction. There was a very small sign. Frustration that's not needed.
