Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts), Newport, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort no longer exists! Outdoor Resorts of America declared bankruptcy at this park and on the Aug 1, 2012 the courts awarded the property to the Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort Home Owners Association. All of the owners I talked to were thrilled that they (HOA) will be running this park and Outdoor Resorts are not longer associated with the park. Both pools were very clean when we stayed there. I was told that they had just been repaired and resurfaced and it is why the pools had looked green from the last reviewer. Apparently Outdoor Resort didn't perform any up keep to the park lately. Prices were very low for this type of a resort, we paid $30 for a space, cable TV and Wi-Fi were included. I think if your looking for a great place to relax and enjoy the coast of Oregon this is definitely the place to go. We will be staying here more often. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts), Newport, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We came into the park on Tuesday morning and liked the park so much that we purchased an RV lot there and we are now owners. One of the best investments I have ever made. This is a fabulous park and the stairs to the ocean have been replace with a new steel stairway. There are no pull thoroughs, there are pull in's. With the utilities on the drivers side, to the rear of your coach. So your facing the beautiful view of the ocean with the Yaquina light house to the south. This is one the most spectacular views on the west coast. The weather is a perfect 72 degrees tomorrow. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Cascade Meadows RV Resort, La Pine, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $2.00
Overall Rating:

Well I read all of the reviews regarding this RV Park, and yes they are all true. Majority of the park is only 30 amp service, there are more rules and regulations at this park, you can't have your door mat further than 30" from your steps, I guess they don't want you to kill the cow grazing grass. This place reminds me of a "COW PASTURE." Site are wide, grassy, with dirt roads. We stayed here on Coast to Coast and although it was on points, I will not stay here again! Moooooooo We camped at Cascade Meadows RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Riverpark RV Resort, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful campground, one of the prettiest campgrounds we have visited. The owners are very helpful. Paved well kept roads, nicely paved level sites, quiet with large shade trees. This RV park is right along the edge of the Rogue River, only minutes out of Grants Pass, Oregon. We stayed here for a couple of weeks. They were full most days yet it was still quiet. Kids bring your bikes. This park is on our return list of parks. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Redding RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here over 20 years ago and the park was in better shape then. The first thing that I didn't like was the $5 surcharge for 50 amp. Management said the owner had done an average of other parks and they said the $5 was the lowest. I told them that $5 was extremely high. Sites are very close together, tiered. Had several long term residents on one side of the park while the other side seemed to be used for over nighters. Simply due to the $5 electrical for 50 amps on PassPort of America, I will not stay here again. We camped at Redding RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wine Ridge RV Resort & Cottages, Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful RV Resort, excellent desert landscaping, breath taking views of the surrounding mountains. Yes, you don't have shade here and June is finally here with warming temps. I would rate this park easily with a 10, however the Wi-Fi was not free. We stayed here 11 days with ROD. Will stay here again, it's on our list. Poche's RV Park, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

My first thought when arriving was: oops maybe this isn't going to be a good park. With the $12 for PPA I figured it couldn't be that bad. Well I was wrong. This was a fun park, clean level concrete pads. We had 1 of the 2 pull through sites on the corner of the further lake. The roads are dirt and everyone speeds, which is dusty. It was very quiet. Spacing between rigs would be adequate, however when we stayed here, there were empty pads close to us. I did fish only for a few minutes: there are fish in the lake. Had many nice hard bites, but walked away empty handed. We used our Verizon phones and air cards here. Our site did have a fire ring. We camped at Poche's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Benchmark RV Park, Meridian, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This is our third time staying in this little "jewel" of a park in as many months. This is one of the cleanest Passport America park I have ever been in. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Each site is a long concrete pad pull through, large enough for 40' plus a toad with our unhooking the toad. I agree that Verizon has a difficult connection here. Wi-fi works well and is free. Restrooms, showers and laundry are in new facilities and are extremely clean. I highly recommend this park and I will stay here each time I come through the area. We camped at Benchmark RV Park in a Motorhome.

Almost Heaven RV Resort, Manvel, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park was sold and will be closed in the future, being made into a housing track. We had planned on staying there a week to visit with family, but a problem with our coach and we stayed 2 weeks. The park is pretty well run down but they are trying to keep it running. It was the best Wi-Fi have ever seen in a park. They were very friendly and accommodating. I didn't like the dirt roads into the park, a lot of dust. The park is within minutes of just about any restaurant that you can think of as well as close shopping. One of the best grocery stores we have ever been in is HEB just a couple of miles from the park. Note from admin: Call to park over this review. The park will be turned into a housing track in three to five years from now, so park is open for business. We camped at Almost Heaven RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Wolf River Resort, Pass Christian, Mississippi

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 2 times, once a longer stay Nov 2010 into Jan 2011 and then again in Feb 2011 for 5 days. The new owner is working hard on trying to keep the dirt roads clean and level. Since our first stay here the owner has installed drains on the roads trying to get the water from rains off the roads. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day. However, when it rains it is a mud hole. Both times here I couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work, very weak at the sites, I'm sure it was OK if you wanted to sit in the club house. We did enjoy a nice Christmas pot luck dinner here, the owner furnished the ham and turkey. Although I find this park to me a mud hole, they are working everyday to improve it. The staff is very friendly and a nice place to walk around. We stayed here in this park because of closeness to family members in the area. They call this a Coast to Coast park and I wouldn't pay more than $10 here. We camped at Wolf River Resort in a Motorhome.
