Hard Labor Creek State Park, Rutledge, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Took my two grandsons for a 2 night stay at this State Park near my home. The park has recently undergone a large renovation and in my opinion it was tax money well spent. Campsites have been upgraded with new gravel, roads repaved, underbrush cleared, etc. Park has lots to offer. We played real golf, putt putt, and the boys went swimming at the beach area. A few sites added sewer hookups and the cable was being re-done while we were here. My only complaints were no wifi or cell phone service, and my pull thru site was a little off level. If you have stayed here before, give it another try. Much improved. We camped at Hard Labor Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

A.H. Stephens Historic Park, Crawfordville, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, quiet park with level sites and easy access. All sites seemed to have fresh gravel and campground was well-maintained. Small playground in center of campground. Only negatives we noticed were picnic tables and fire rings were on "road" side (no privacy) on some sites, and we did have a small "ant" problem. Fairly remote site, so carry your supplies with you unless you want to drive several miles for groceries, etc. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at A.H. Stephens Historic Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverbend Campground, Hiawassee, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2005 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly staff. Several sites located next to river. Close to nearby town of Hiawassee for shopping, dining, golf, etc. Not all sites are shaded as this is a new park. Plan to go there again soon. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
