Humboldt County Fairgrounds, Ferndale, California

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good spot while looking the area over. Campground has been around for many years and does lack maintenance. Grounds are clean along with the showers. All sites are not level but not far off. We have stayed here at least once a year for the past ten years. It is a good place to stay. No sewer on sites but if does have a dump station. We camped at Humboldt County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Pinto Lake Park, Watsonville, California

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is the best small campground we have ever been to. Price is right. Parking is close, but not a problem. Park is very clean and had very little noise. The gate is locked at 8pm, so be there before. They give you a key so you can come and go. We found this to be great. You can dry camp in the parking lot for 25 a night. Park is close to many attractions and great food. Campground manager was very helpful. We stayed four nights and we will be back again. We camped at Pinto Lake Park in a Travel Trailer.

Half Moon Bay State Beach, Half Moon Bay, California

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Dry camp only. The beach is 4 miles long and is right there. A easy walk from the campground. Sites 47 through 50 have great views and are not as close together. Generator hours are 10am to 8pm. These hours could be a little bit better. There were showers for a fee, but the park was very busy and we did not use them. Make reservation as we saw many turned away. Hope to stay again. We camped at Half Moon Bay State Beach in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here four nights. This is very clean park. It was good to stay in this nice of a park in a urban area. We found it to be close to most everything. Being winter the pool was not being used but was very clean. We have a daughter in the area so we will stay again. The manger was also helpful. This is a cash or check only park and one should make a reservation. We camped at Trailer Tel RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is very easy to get in and out of. Has friendly staff. Price was about the same as the near by casino, but a much better place to stay. WiFi was excellent. Was an easy walk to stores and eating. Will stay again. We came for one night and stayed four. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed two nights. Very nice park but to close to I-10 so there was noise all night long. WiFi was not working. We thought the price was a bit high because of the noise and no WiFi. We parked close to a street light that we did not see when we parked, so had to cover the window. I do not think we will stay here again. It is a very nice park but too close to the freeway. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
