Mount Rushmore KOA, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Pro's: Park has almost everything. Laundry, store, western stores, wine tasting, ice cream shop, etc. Small fishing lake on site. Bus trip to Mt Rushmore for the night lighting ceremony, outstanding. Cowboy BBQ, ride a wagon train to the site. Great show, great food, great service. This park is top notch.

Con's: No Wifi No Cell service..... maybe those are not cons. We camped at Mount Rushmore KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Pelican Point RV Park, Half Moon Bay, California

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Sign, Sign, Everywhere a sign. Remember the song? You will when you stay here. It is a nice facility with some idiotic rules. Check in at 1:00 not a second earlier, so us early folks get to try to park somewhere near the park. Oh, and check out is 1:00; you figure it out. The female staff was friendly, the younger male lost his sense of humor and ability to smile a long time ago. Park is clean, tight, and is a short walk to the beach. Not bad, just silly about the rules, and signs, signs, signs. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Beachside State Park, Waldport, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Limited amenities are made up for by beach front location. Some of the nicest beaches you will ever see. Never crowded, get the corner site if possible. Wonderful!!! We camped at Beachside State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
