St Lucie South COE, Stuart, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We are Florida residents so camping here at the Army Corps is reasonably priced. Park is immaculate. Place to launch boat. Picnic areas. VERY clean and organized. Three waterfront sites, but all sites can SEE river. Huge gator lives right here, so don't let dogs swim in the river. No store on site but Publix is about 4 miles from the campground. Ocean beaches are 15 miles away. We camped at St Lucie South COE in a Motorhome.

Grandma's RV Camping, Shepherdsville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Loved this campground. It was more of a pull in while you're traveling, park. Right off interstate. Convenient to Louisville and other sites. Owner is FUN and endearing. Donkeys and llamas on premises to watch and feed. Flea market on weekend is fantastic and is right next door. Laundry and bathrooms are immaculate and safe with coded entry. Stone and cement sites. Not shady or country-like. A little tough to hook up water as it's several inches below ground. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Motorhome.

Roamers' Retreat Campground, Kinzers, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Neatly kept. Lots of seasonals. Good views. Bathrooms need updating. Lost electricity in the bathrooms and couldn't use. No windows in that area. Sites are not attractive but the location is great for the tourist area. UN-level sites were hard to maneuver. Good shopping nearby. Motorhome next to us was WAY too close. All sites close to each other. Easy pull through sites. We camped at Roamers' Retreat Campground in a Motorhome.

Wild Duck Campground & RV Park (Adult Only), Scarborough, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This park is immaculate. Never saw such organization both in signing in and staying here. VERY upscale. Not kid friendly as it's an adult only park. Fabulous location. Very quiet. Not much mingling encouraged. No pavilion but has a pretty lake and wildlife. Small store but very clean. Kayak rentals. Spectacular location to area activities. We camped at Wild Duck Campground & RV Park (Adult Only) in a Motorhome.

Magic Pines Campground, Lewis, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Good location. This park has tons of potential but is just let go. Needs new blood to get it up and running properly. Had to sit in main building to get Wi-Fi. Very friendly owners who simply need help in bring life to this campground. Tennis and miniature golf tired and worn. Cobwebs in bathrooms and just not up to par. Had easy pull in sites and beautiful scenery. We camped at Magic Pines Campground in a Motorhome.

Gorgeous. Hard to get into as they are always booked. Pretty sure you have to be a county resident but since we own a condo on Long Island, we could get in. Lots of kids. Very beachy venue. Beach towels and toys strewn over campsites. Fun place. We camped at Smith Point Campground in a Motorhome.

Chips Folly Campground, Gretna, New Jersey

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

No words can describe this campground. Maybe unkempt, dirty, worn, scary. Way off the beaten path. Hard to get to. Rusted seasonals with broken down rigs. Broken windows on live a boards. Large equipment in parts, strewn around. Pavilion held up with wires and was leaning dangerously to one side. We toured this campground and left. I would NEVER recommend this place. We camped at Chips Folly Campground in a Motorhome.
