Thousand Trails - San Benito Preserve, Paicines, California

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Campground not well maintained. Adult Lodge filthy as well as the restroom there. Family lodge not well maintained. Both pools closed for repairs as well as the hot tub. Appears they could have closed them in the winter for repairs, instead of the summer time during high usage. Picnic tables in a state of disrepair. We camped at Thousand Trails - San Benito Preserve in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails - San Benito Preserve, Paicines, California

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Both the Family Lodge and the Adult Lodge were filthy. They serve meals but who would want to eat in a dirty area and fight the flies. The grounds were not maintained. Rec equipment was either missing or broken. Poor electrical service. Appears to be little or none enforcement of the park rules. It also appears they are leasing out sites to folks who have nowhere else to live, but the members have to camp next to them. We camped at Thousand Trails - San Benito Preserve in a Motorhome.

Soledad Canyon Park / Thousand Trails, Acton, California

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

They claim to have over 900 sites, however between the leased sites and the sites without power the number is much smaller. Checked six sites before we found one that had good power. Seems like it would be an easy chore to mark the ones without , or low, power. This would shorten the time looking for a site. In spite of the fact that we are members we will avoid this park. There is no enforcement of the rules at the adult lodge and pool. Management has decided it is better to lease the best sites and let the weekenders/members try and find decent power. Wi-Fi is marginal at best. We camped at Soledad Canyon Park / Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground. Dirt interior roads, but if the campers don't speed it is alright. Very friendly staff. It is a membership campground with public access.
