It doesn't get any better. I visited all of the parks in the area (on my bike) and nothing compared to the beauty, privacy and view that we had (parked near the gazebo). The staff were unbelievably hard-working and anticipated our every need. We were given a list of fun places to visit and great places to eat, and told how to get there. The on-site store and activities makes it so you don't have to drive. My walk on the beach was memorable, and the state park is right next door, if you need even more beach trails and views. This is our dream resort, at a price we could afford. We are grateful to the owners and staff. It couldn't be cleaner or more beautifully landscaped, which gives you notice you are on vacation!

Beautiful beach, overpriced considering we had no hookups but plenty of wake ups from the trains running right by the campground. We were the only ones parked on our loop, besides the hosts' rig, and turned on our generator just to make a cup of morning tea (at about 9:00 am) and a young man in a park uniform who happened to be walking by ordered our generator turned off. There was no one else in sight in any direction. It seems California's state parks (we tried 3 last week) are underused, overpriced and over-staffed. Pismo Beach North Campground had no campers, but 3 park pickups with uniformed staff just sitting and staring. It was sad, considering our wonderful state park experiences in both Utah and Florida. California needs to make some thoughtful changes to park management: quick!
