Hickory Creek COE

Lewisville, Texas

Date of Stay:

What a nice park. Clean, quiet and open enough to feel like you are outdoors. Power and water are placed properly and worked great. ( no sewer but a dump station) Lots of sites with lake views and bank fishing. We camped here in a 40' motorhome.

Staff who checked us in was awesome. She gave us so many ideas on where to go to take in the surrounding area. I really wanted to like this park but it didn't fulfill our needs. I don't like dogs roaming freely and owners not cleaning up after them. We had power issues 111 volts on each side when the park added a few new campers. The campground could use some good old fashioned care. We camped here in a 40' motorhome. PS: The day we left our neighbor who was a long term camper cleaned up in front of their and our coach a full large kitchen bag of her dogs waste---disgusting.

Date of Stay:

Park is very close to Texas A&M. The park has full hookups that are placed in an ok spot for connections. The park can be a swamp when it rains with standing water everywhere. I felt the price was to high and not as tidy compared to other local campgrounds. We camped here in a 40" motorhome.

This park could be such a gem. The people running the park are such nice people. The WIFI worked well as did the utilities which are placed at the proper location. Laundry room was super clean with nice machines. The problem as stated by other people was the burrs that are everywhere in the park. It was necessary to clean our dogs paws after every run to the tune of at least 50 total burrs. Why not build a dog run and plant some grass? I really liked this park, however the burrs will keep me from ever coming back. We camped here in a 40' motorhome.

Date of Stay:

Sites are level and long enough to park a toad. (We are 40 feet.) Utilities are placed properly and worked well. They have a small café on the property that serves good food. I feel a little love on the overall park could go a long way.

Date of Stay:

Overall a nice little resort. Spaces are long and level for our 40' coach. This park is known for very dark skies to observe the stars. Utilities worked well and were placed in the proper place.

Date of Stay:

Our site was not very level, however it worked out. The water spigot leaks when turned on and can't be fixed. (several leak in park). Power worked well and was placed properly.

Date of Stay:

This park needs some trees to be trimmed and trash picked up. Some sites allow generators at certain times. Overall sites are level and a mixture of gravel and mud.

Date of Stay:

This is a dry, no generator camp. Sites are level but few can handle rigs over 30'. Ranger presence was very noticeable in a good way. Birds and wildlife are abundant in the park. We found this park to be awesome.

Date of Stay:

Spaces are level and long enough for our 40' coach and toad. Utilities are placed well but the water spigot is about 8" deep in a pipe, and a little difficult to hook up to. Overall park is fine for a short stay.

Date of Stay:

This is a dry camp only. The sites are level and close, but big enough for even large rigs. (We are 40 feet.) The mountains are right out your windows, as were some elk. Trails are everywhere right off the sites.

Date of Stay:

Clean and well kept resort. People are friendly and the front desk was very helpful. We were given a 10 page guide with directions and brief history to all the local sites. Our site was level and the utilities were well placed. The grounds are kept in great shape as are their trails in the park. We camped here in a 40' motorhome.

Ajo Heights RV Park

Ajo, Arizona

Date of Stay:

This park is awesome. The owners are just perfect. The folks who stay here all winter invite all campers to join their 3 t0 5 gathering everyday. Just a group of great people. The park is immaculate and extremely well kept. We stayed here in a 40' motorhome.

Date of Stay:

This park is so over priced for what you get. Sites are really close and people were not friendly. I was very disappointed in this resort. The owners of our site were no where to be found and the front desk couldn't answer our questions concerning what we could use on the site. Overall resort is clean and well maintained. We camped here in a 40' motorhome.

Date of Stay:

This park has lots of great level sites for big rigs. We are 40'. There is a dump station, potable water and trash containers. Mountain and mesa views are just outside you door. We found this area to be really diverse in it's plants and cacti. Coyote and rattlesnake can be found in the area.
