River Ridge Resort, Stanwood, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great RV park. Site was level and wide enough for our car, 40' motorhome, fire pit and picnic table to be on concrete. Water pressure was really good. Sites are fully landscaped with flowers, shrubs and grass everywhere else. Pool was large and immaculate. This RV park was the best we have stayed at in our year of fulltiming. We camped at River Ridge Resort in a Motorhome.

Hidden Ridge RV Resort, Hopkins, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. Clean and well maintained from the grounds to the buildings to the facilities (pool-restrooms). Sites are level with a lake view available from several. Clubhouse is fantastic: great library, large dining room table, kitchen, screened in gazebo, deck and porch. Lower level game room for kids. Take exit 59 off of RT 131. We camped at Hidden Ridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pine Cove Beach Resort, Charleroi, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This place looks great on the surface, but we had non-stop problems. Don't make the mistake of using a computerized map service to get here-the street address routed us to a narrow residential cul-de-sac. If Lat and Long were given on the campground's website, this wouldn't happen. See previous reviews-we're not alone. We were assigned to an occupied site, and when we called to ask what to do, we got voicemail. Normally no big deal, but the parking lot is jammed full of pool customers and it's a long walk from the campground to the office. But the real problem here, and the reason we won't return is the erratic electrical current that caused our surge suppressor to stop our air conditioner from running. Read the older reviews--this is not a new problem here, and no solution was offered. More issues here, but these are the main ones. We camped at Pine Cove Beach Resort in a Motorhome.

Woodland Campground, Woodland, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly people run this campground. They are working on several improvements around the lake. (pavilion, sandy area, etc.) Roads and sites are gravel and a little close to each other. Several seasonal campers were at the campground. Little shade was available to most sites. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Motorhome.

Wellesley Island State Park, Fineview, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

WI-FI and cellular service may come from Canadian towers. This could cause international charges on your bill. The site we had was very unlevel and extremely tight. Close to several 1000 Island sites. Large campground with sites for all kinds of camping. We camped at Wellesley Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Massena Intl Kampground, Massena, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Clean and well maintained campground. People who run the campground were very friendly and helpful. Very close to Eisenhower locks on the St. Lawrence Seaway. The locks lower or raise approximately 42' for large ships to pass. Sites are grass and level with some shade trees. Laundry room was small but very reasonable ($1.25). We camped at Massena Intl Kampground in a Motorhome.

North Pole Resorts, Wilmington, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Our campsite was sand and some gravel with a picnic table and lots of shade. It rained a couple of times which made our site very messy. I should have asked for a pull through because most of these had gravel. This is a great location to visit several waterfalls and Lake Placid. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Motorhome.

Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA, Littleton, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Nice people checked us in and led us to our site. Twice they came down to make sure everything was all right. Campground was quiet, clean and well maintained. Our pull through was gravel, shaded and very level. Water pressure was a little weak. Our MI-FI worked well, however, phone service and 3G was almost non-existent. We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Motorhome.

Check in was done by a young lady who couldn't have cared less. Shower rooms full of mosquitoes but pretty clean. We had a level pull in site on grass. Pumpkin Patch RV Resort, Hermon, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean park with a great dog walk area. Showers and bathrooms were spotless. Pull thru sites with hook-ups located in the right area. Water pressure was not good. Everything else was really nice. There is a small cafe about 200' from their front gate with good food. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.
