Townsite Campground (Parks Canada), Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Park has great views of mountains around the area. Sites are not the most level I ever had but do work. Just outside the park you can see black bears on both sides of the highway. Water and electric worked just fine, however the sewer connection is in the middle of the gravel site and not at all easy to get to. We camped here in a 40' motorhome. We camped at Townsite Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

Columbia Falls RV Park, Columbia Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Front office lady can be a little bit of a pain. However the park is well maintained and has a good dog area. Most sites are pull through with easy access and level. WIFI was non-existent no matter the time. This park is busy with no vacancy most nights. It's about a 20 minute ride to the west entrance of Glacier. We camped at Columbia Falls RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Do not miss Perfect Cuts meat market next to the campground. Some of the finest meats in the USA. If you need your dog cared for call Triple R kennels--5 minutes from park. This kennel made us feel so reassured that our dog got the best care possible. We do not like to leave our dog but they made it much easier. Both of the businesses are a credit to their community.

Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground, Ronan, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This park is so well kept by the owners. Large trees around sites, however the sun can still get through--which I like. Utilities were in the correct location and in good working order. Sites are close but are angled to give good privacy. We camped at Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Square Dance Center and Campground, Lolo, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park with tall trees everywhere. The front desk was extremely nice and showed us to our site. This park had a welcoming attitude from the front desk to the other campers. Utilities were located in the proper spot and worked well. Our rig is 40' long. We camped at Square Dance Center and Campground in a Motorhome.

Big Sky Camp and RV Park, Miles City, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Great park for an overnight stay. The site had 50 amp and water with a dump station in the park. This park is not fancy but fits the bill for those passing through. Our rig is 40' long. We camped at Big Sky Camp and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hardin KOA, Hardin, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Overall this is a decent campground. Campground roads and parking sites need a new layer of gravel. The workers and owners were extremely helpful and polite. Price is a little stiff for this campground. The location is near Little Big Horn which was nice. Our rig is 40' long. We camped at Hardin KOA in a Motorhome.

Theodore Roosevelt Nat'l Park / Juniper Campground, Watford City, North Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This campground could use some tree trimming so larger rigs like our 40-footer could use the facilities. I loved this area and found the park to be nice. Sites are large but limbs make them not available for most units. We camped at Theodore Roosevelt Nat'l Park / Juniper Campground in a Motorhome.

Cottonwood Campground (NPS Campground), Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Park was nice with several sites available early in the morning. It is tight with a big rig--some branches need to be trimmed. Several sites could hold a 40' motorhome. However, with the tree branches it really negates a lot of options. Trimming branches is an easy fix that would allow more people to enjoy a National Park. I really could love this park with just a little more care given to tree trimming. We camped at Cottonwood Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Downstream Campground COE, Riverdale, North Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

In six years of full timing this park ranks in the top ten. Sites and park are just great. Some trees for shade with the rest looking like a manicured yard. I would suggest loop 3 if you are in a big rig like our 40-footer. Lots of families were present on the weekend with well behaved children having a great time. We camped at Downstream Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Dale & Martha Hawk Museum & Campground, Wolford, North Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This campground offers the full gambit of sites. Electric only, full hookups, you name it. We needed and got 50 amp service for our 40-footer. This is a really unique place with vintage tractors and other farm equipment. They have several different areas that you can camp in--so satellite was no problem. We camped at Dale & Martha Hawk Museum & Campground in a Motorhome.

Northwest Acres RV Park, Stephen, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

It took a while to find our reservation. They must have separate books if you're staying seasonal or one night. The campground was a gem, with the sites located around a large area of grass in the middle. Shower and laundry area was great. Hookups are located in the right area and worked fine. Our rig is 40' long. We camped at Northwest Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Thompson West End Campground, Washburn, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small park that is tight for large rigs; however, it can be done. Roads are narrow, but sites are rather large. Parking for a toad in front of the RV was tight. We found the park to be quiet with friendly local people making up most of the campers. This is a nice area that is close to the Twin Cities. We camped at Thompson West End Campground in a Motorhome.

Pine Aire, Kabetogama, Minnesota

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Do not let them put you in the west campground. The only site is narrow, down a small incline (barely cleared the front) grass and mud. The site is only 30 amp not 50. To get to the site you have to drive around a circle without enough clearance from the tree limbs. The area is full of boat trailers which made navigation even harder. If you pull into the office area at the east campground it is impossible to turn around so you have to backup and watch for limbs and boat trailers. I would not stay here again. Our rig is 40' long. We camped at Pine Aire in a Motorhome.

Camp Namekagon, Springbrook, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $37.00

The sites are in both shade and sun. Sites are fairly level and large. The hookups are in the proper spot and in good working order. I thought the cost was too high for the grass site. We camped at Camp Namekagon in a Motorhome.
