Croft State Natural Area, Spartanburg, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was a breeze with nice people managing the desk.

Campground roads are a little tight and gravel. Sites as a whole are fairly level and some are long enough for any size rig. Trees were trimmed high enough to avoid scraping the rig. We camped at Croft State Natural Area in a Motorhome.

Stone Mountain Park Campground, Stone Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This campground needs some TLC. Coming into park at ranger check-in/gate was tight!! I don't think I had 4" of clearance going thru the gate. Roads in the campground are bumpy. The large majority of sites are not level. Some sites have full hook-ups and some have water and electric. The maintenance people need to pick up the campground litter. I'm not saying there is a ton but way to much. This campground has fantastic views of the lake from just about anywhere. This campground could be a nine 9 or 10 if some effort was made on my suggestions. I really wish a better score could be given. We camped at Stone Mountain Park Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice clean and well maintained campground in a heavily wooded area. Check-in was easy with pleasant park employee. Our site was level, long (80') with FH, fire pit and picnic table. Savannah is an easy 15 minute drive. We camped at Skidaway Island State Park in a Motorhome.

The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort, Titusville, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice, clean and well run park. If I was looking to buy a lot this park would get extreme consideration in my decision. The fact that this area is also a nature preserve allows for great animal viewing. During our stay, wild boar, bobcat, turkey, deer, lots of different birds and alligators were sighted. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Park is very clean and well kept. Campsites and roads are tight with neighbors very close. This campground is on a lake with good views. Overall I liked the campground, however, it is pricey. We camped at Orlando S.E./Lake Whippoorwill KOA in a Motorhome.

Bay Bayou RV Resort, Tampa, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

The entrance is tight with a big rig and toad. Some sites are great while others are terrible. When we checked in we were given a site that the help said "you must have booked late the good sites are gone". It sure didn't help my rate. He was right our site was on sand with neighbors very close. The renters here are mostly seasonal and friendly. The biggest complaint I have is a nice site behind me with gravel was open during our whole stay. Why were we not put there? We camped at Bay Bayou RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall a really nice park. Snowbirds fill most of the park but were friendly. Utilities are placed in the correct location and worked well. Our site was gravel/grass, level and was large. Nearest stores for food are 45 minutes away. We camped at Big Cypress RV Park in a Motorhome.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, Key Largo, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are fairly level and a mix of gravel, weeds and grass. Hookups are in the correct place, however, whenever I dumped, it would run out of the sewer unless I barely opened the valve. Sites are very tight with most not having enough room for an awning. We camped at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in a Motorhome.

Rock Crusher Canyon RV Resort, Crystal River, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Overall I liked the park. Most sites are large with trees all around. I spent 10 days here and could not use their internet - for me this is not acceptable. Either you do have or do not have internet to the sites. Park is extremely quiet even when filled up. I really wanted to like this park alot, however, no internet at $40.00 is not satisfactory. We camped at Rock Crusher Canyon RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sunny Brook RV Resort, South Haven, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a top notch park. Sites are kept in fantastic shape as are all the buildings. The owners and renters to be friendly and nice. I have to agree with an earlier post---for the price they should have cable. Our rig is 40' long. We camped at Sunny Brook RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Alum Creek State Park, Delaware, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

First site was very not level, however we were able to move to a more level site. Sites have 50 amp service, picnic tables, and a fire ring. Park as a whole was well kept up. There is a huge dog park (actually 3) in the park. One for small dogs, one for large dogs and a lake area for the all the dogs. My biggest complaint was the speed that fellow campers felt was appropriate to drive through the park at. They need to hand out some speeding tickets before someone gets hurt. Our rig is 40' long. We camped at Alum Creek State Park in a Motorhome.
