American Heritage RV Park, Williamsburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We were told about this campground by at friend at my work. It's an older campground, nicely laid out. What impressed us was, the sites have concrete pads that are level. The hook ups are easy to get to. The bathhouse is large, clean, with plenty of hot water. The weekend weather was perfect for sitting outside under the awning. Except, for the regular freight train noises, we will be back again. We camped at American Heritage RV Park in a Motorhome.

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts (formerly Duncan's), Lothian, Maryland

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $43.00

Arrived Good Friday. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Very quick check in. The inner roads are a mix of gravel and sand. Great for keeping the dust down. Our site was on the end and after a little searching, we were level. The camp store is nicely stocked, even has a nice snack bar. The bathhouse, is clean and well lit. The showers are a bit old, but very nice and clean. This place is very pet friendly. They even have a staff member pick up trash several times a day, another plus. Since it is close to our home, we will be visiting here quite often. We camped at Adventure Bound Camping Resorts (formerly Duncan's) in a Motorhome.

Hidden Acres Family Campground , Milford, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived after dark. Our reservation was left taped to the door. Our site was marked, but not very easy to see. Once we found it, we had a slight problem. At one end it was muddy. All of the hook ups except the sewer was hidden in large evergreen bushes, with the sewer connection 10' forward of them. A very narrow site, we could not use our awning. The camp store is small. The staff is nice. The bathhouse/showers were ok. One had no TP, no handles on the sink to use the water, and no power. At least there was hot water. The other shower did not work at all. But the lights in that one did. We will not be going back. We camped at Hidden Acres Family Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one night in our motorhome that we just picked up. The grounds were clean. Our site was close to the bathhouse. Was very impressed with the fact that there were hosts available after hours. Showers were nice and clean. We'd recommend this site to anyone. South Forty Campground, Petersburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second night in our rig. We arrived right around 6pm. The staff on duty, was very friendly. Checked in with no problem, and was escorted to our site. The site was sandy, but clean. Surprisingly, we were level. The campsite was clean, the grounds quiet. My only slight complaint is that after a long hard run, there is no take out /delivery food in the area. But there is a small truckstop, that does serve good fried chicken. We liked the fact, that the showers were very clean. The overall look of the campground is nice. We will be back. We camped at South Forty Campground in a Motorhome.
