McKaskey Creek COE, Cartersville, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Paved interior roads and sites. We opted to get a 'premium' site overlooking Lake Allatoona. Had walk down access to the lake also.

Sites are very large with a gravel pad for tents/shelter. Concrete picnic table and grill.

Nice beach and boat launch.

A word of caution to big rig owners, call in advance. Didn't see too many sites that would accommodate a 40' rig. We camped at McKaskey Creek COE in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Nightly rate based on weekly rate. Sites are small. Cable TV available. RV check-in is in the 'Maggie Country Store'.
Richard and Stacy have been the owners for about 20 years. Probably some of the nicest owners I have met. VERY accommodating. They go out of their way to help you. We camped at Hillbilly Campground in a Motorhome.

Camping World RV Sales of Chattanooga, Chattanooga, Tennessee

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing spectacular about this park. Handy to downtown. 25+ local OTA TV channels available. Good Verizon 4G signal in the area. Pool was closed. Would use it again for overnight. Rate was for off season, 50A. We camped at Camping World RV Sales of Chattanooga in a Motorhome.

Fair Harbor RV Park, Perry, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. A better than an average overnight park. Most sites are level. Wi-Fi and cable TV included in rate. I hesitate to use the word FREE. Friendly staff. Plenty of sight seeing in the area. Across the Interstate from the Georgia National Fairgrounds. Check out Yoders' (in Perry) for their sandwiches. Will stop again. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Florida Gateway Resort, Jasper, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park as others have stated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Outside of the park there are not a lot of attractions. Jasper is a very small town with not a lot to see or do. The next biggest town is Live Oak (WalMart, Lowes) a museum and some antique stores. IMHO a 'resort' should have enough activities to keep it's guests with more things to do and not enough time to do them. They did away with PA in favor of their own program, not really interested as we probably won't return. We camped at Florida Gateway Resort in a Motorhome.

Ocala North RV Resort, Reddick, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. Roads are a bit narrow. Check your site for low branches and lots of trees. Rate is for Passport America so you get the small, narrow sites. The park is about halfway between Ocala and Gainesville for your shopping. No 4G signal in the area. We would return again. We camped at Ocala North RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Wickham Park Campground, Melbourne, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in Loop A the first week, some huge sites (actually double). Extended our stay for another week and had to move within the same loop, smaller site. The settling problems as others have mentioned seems to have gone away. Lots of activities to do within the Park. Great area to explore also. Most sites satellite TV worked but do ask to see the site first as there are pine trees. Will return if we are in the area again. There was a hint that the rates might go up. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Casino Resort RV Park, Osceola, Iowa

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing has changed since my review in October (see below) except the Terrible's Cowboy sign along side the freeway is gone. No more landmark. I think the casino is re-branding itself. The old Terrible's casino chips will no longer usable either. We camped at Lakeside Casino Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Jamaica Beach RV Park, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. Sites are rather small for the money. But you are across the street from the beach. Wi-Fi was super quick. All facilities were functioning. Being on the 'Island' the park is rather flat so there was no place for 2.5" of rain to go. Sites were pretty sloppy. Lots of activities for the small campers. Probably won't be back. We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mission Dolores RV Park, San Augustine, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

What a great park. Oilfield workers are gone now. Plenty of sites available. Full hookups. Self-check in. Passport America rate is good for as long as your stay. Other discounts available too. Check with Park Host for Wi-Fi code, varies per site. Paved roads and sites. Picnic tables at sites. Two shelters available for use ($$). Be sure to visit the Museum and San Augustine. Plenty of history in this small town. We camped at Mission Dolores RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bay View RV Resort, Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this park because of the oak trees and large sites. Most of the roads WERE blacktop but are now mostly gravel. Dusty w/no rain and sloppy when it rains. The original owner received it back from bankruptcy and is trying to make long needed repairs. Wi-Fi is only to about half the park. There are limited activities. The rate is for Passport America $17.50/night. Given it's shortcomings we will return. We camped at Bay View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lakewood RV Resort, Harlingen, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is an Encore park so there is a $3.00/day 'Resort Fee' for daily rentals. This is a 'Winter Texan' destination park. Great staff, new park manager who is making needed repairs and upgrades. Activity director who has planned lots of activities. Monthly rentals pay electricity which are THE cheapest rates in the Valley...about.08/kwh. Propane delivery to site (Hino Gas). Close to all amenities in Harlingen including the new Bass Pro Shop. Wi-Fi thru Tengo. We camped at Lakewood RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort, New Braunfels, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We were put into the older part of the 'Resort' I am assuming because we were here for only a few nights and used the PA discount. Another 'Resort Park' that has a nice website and brochures but really lacks when you see it in person. The part we were in is definitely showing its age. Railings at the slabs were falling apart, blacktop roads were deteriorating, exposed electrical piping, etc. The majority of the sites in this part are permanents and those are showing their age also. The center part of the park consists of 'cottage rentals' up front and some VERY rundown mobile homes in the back. Wi-Fi was OK (Tengo), phone tethering was just as quick. Good cable TV channels. I wouldn't have paid more than the Passport America rate. Won't return. We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Twin Fountains RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

No need to repeat what others have said. This is a great park. Wi-Fi is great. We got more TV channels from the OTA antenna. Most of the noise comes from NE 63rd St which is in front of the park. Small store with some RV stuff, book exchange, DVDs. Laundry facilities, storm shelter, propane. Make sure to see the Memorial/museum in town. We camped at Twin Fountains RV Park in a Motorhome.
