Seasons in the Sun RV Resort, Mims, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This park has about 225 sites. About 80 of them are concrete and the rest are very hard packed material. Each campsite must pick up debris or rake to the road, but they pick up within 2 hours, so it is patrolled regularly. It is a gated park with mobile security also. The clubhouse has a full kitchen, rec room, and a large area used for potlucks and dances. Many activities, 2 pools and a hot tub, tennis courts, shuffleboard, lending library, and many other amenities. WiFi limited reception but available. Within easy drive to Kennedy and other attractions. We camped at Seasons in the Sun RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Sanford is about 25 minutes away with many major stores and services. Titusville is only 6 miles offering WalMart and other major shopping. There is an 18 hole golf course with new clubhouse and restaurant within one mile. Kennedy Space Center is only about a half hour drive. Lots of hiking trails nearby, and Merritt Island National Refuge is only 25 minutes drive.

Blythe Island Regional Park Campground, Brunswick, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here on overnights on our way south each year for the convenience. Sites are large and private from each other, with picnic table and large fire pits. All of the area is dirt/gravel, but sites we have been in are level. Roads allow for big rig access. Will stay 5 nights this year, and see some sights. Baths are clean and with good hot water, but lacking in clothing hooks and benches: pretty bare. Good cable TV and Wi-Fi, and the staff is very attentive. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Seasons in the Sun RV Resort, Mims, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a month in a section called the Hammocks. It provides both sun and shade, and is an area of gravel back in sites, both level and semi-private. Spacing between units is very good, so you do not feel crowded at all. Many very friendly people, and the activities are superb. Staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. We liked it so much we reserved 2 months next year. We camped at Seasons in the Sun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Magnolia Springs RV Hideaway & Golf Resort, Foley, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a campground under development. The sites are very nice: level with a concrete patio. Most sites are shaded. The downfall of this campground is the bath. There are only 2 shower stalls for each sex, and the person must step out of the shower stall into the general bathroom in order to dry off. There is no place to hang up a towel or clothes, and it is really a public area. Private only to same sex. Laundry is also lacking space. Quite a drive into Foley, the closest real town. We camped at Magnolia Springs RV Hideaway & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
