Blackhawk Valley Campground, Rockford, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We had a great time in this campground. We had a sewer connection even though it is supposed to be just for seasonals, which were all around us. Nice people in the office and in the campground. Very clean and well organized. Nice relaxing, quiet place for a restful stop. We camped at Blackhawk Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

LBL Whispering Pines, Dover, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $112.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely beautiful camping area right on Kentucky Lake. Not overboard on amenities and the bath and shower facilities were older and obviously well used. Lots of families and friendly people, and lots of children who were very well behaved for children having fun. The views are great and the rocky shoreline interesting to explore. Interesting Civil war history nearby (Ft Donnelson) and LBL area is always great fun to investigate. We're going back for a week this summer. We camped at LBL Whispering Pines in a Motorhome.

Hixton / Alma Center KOA, Hixton, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful campground. We arrived late in the season and sadly missed the beautiful flowers that were evident by the many flower beds throughout. The owners were great, always helpful and friendly. (Even invited us to the office to watch the Packer-Viking game) The "silver Mound" trails are right from this campground. There are very nice, private individual shower and restroom facilities. We were scared out by predicted 60mph winds and left 1 day early, and to our complete surprise the owners refunded the last night, which was neither asked for nor expected. This is an A-1 facility with owners to match. We can't wait to go back this year when the flowers are in full bloom. We camped at Hixton / Alma Center KOA in a Motorhome.

Summer Breeze Campground, Iron Mountain, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Campground was clean with lots of amenities and friendly, helpful owners. We stayed 2 nights, and even though there was no lake or river to entertain us, we walked and just enjoyed the relaxation. The park was quiet, very clean and well organized with level pull-through sights. We would be happy to stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Summer Breeze Campground in a Motorhome.

Southlake RV Park, Knoxville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Tried to stay, but we arrived late (about 7:30 PM). No one around. No late arrival procedure. Blaring band in dump across the road. Junk everywhere. People looked as bad as the facilities. We would not have stayed if the office had been open. We were fortunate to be late. We camped at Southlake RV Park in a Motorhome.
