Mojave Narrows Regional Park, Victorville, California

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a disappointment. It has been flooded very badly this year and is in recovery mode. (Lots of dirt and mud around everywhere.) The sites are great, but trains run adjacent about every 20 minutes (all night long). When we checked in, it was a long process and we had to produce the registration for both of our truck and trailer which we have never had to do before. This is not a place we will return to. We camped at Mojave Narrows Regional Park in a Travel Trailer.

A Country RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park located right in Bakersfield. It has easy access from the freeway, but is not so close to have lots of traffic noise. We stayed here on our way south in January. This park has great pull-through sites that make it easy for an overnight stay, but it seems pleasant enough if one were going to stay longer. The office staff was friendly and everything in the park is immaculate. We camped at A Country RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Furnace Creek (NPS Campground), Death Valley National Park, California

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a great place to stay while exploring Death Valley. It is centrally located and close to services such as gas, restaurants, park headquarters, etc. The campsites are fairly large, level and have a table and firepit. We enjoyed our week-long stay. We camped at Furnace Creek (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Agua Caliente County Park , Julian, California

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We loved our week-long stay at Agua Caliente. This park offered us the perfect blend: camping, hiking and kicking back in the hot spring. Also warm sunshine in February wasn't bad either. This is a well-run park. We were here over a weekend that was fully booked and things seemed busy, but still nice. The hot spring facilities are clean and well cared for. There is a great deck outside for sunning and socializing. I think there are many volunteers who work hard to make this park a pleasure. We camped at Agua Caliente County Park in a Travel Trailer.

Dos Reis Regional Park, Lathrop, California

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in January on our way south. It's a good, quiet park this time of the year that has easy access off of Interstate 5. It is off the freeway enough to be quiet. The sites are fairly roomy. This is a perfect place to slide into this time of year. We camped at Dos Reis Regional Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pomo RV Park & Campground, Fort Bragg, California

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is a friendly, well-maintained park. We stayed here in January on our way South. Our site was spacious and the whole park had a very well-kept appearance to it. We were greeted in a friendly, professional manner in the office. Although we stayed only one night, this park would be a great place to stay several days while exploring this part of the coast. We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Shoreline RV Park & Campground, Crescent City, California

This park seems like it has seen better days. It is kind of run down. We stayed here in January (rainy weather). The sites are grassy and kind of soggy. We did enjoy being close to the beach. We stayed one night here on our way south which was okay. We camped at Shoreline RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
