This is a new park so hopefully it will get better but beware. 90% no shade, grass extremely sparse, cable does not work (antennas up everywhere) WI-FI doesn't work (too weak, may work near office.) No pool, bulldozer sitting in sand hole. 1 men restroom/shower stall and one women for entire park. Did not see any "tropical gardens". Lots were large but few pull thrus. (I suppose if no one was across from your lot you could "pull thru") Roads, electric, water, sewer worked fine but bring long cords and hoses since hook-ups are far from sewer. Girl in office was nice and lives on site. Didn't see any other staff.

There is 2 campgrounds and I stayed at the one next to the Marina. The marina has a restaurant/bar, boat docking and rentals, camp supplies, etc. Lots of seasonal campers so most of the waterfront sites are taken. You can still get to the water though. This park/lake is run by a quasi government conservancy district, so it is a little basic on amenities. Lots of pine trees so grass can be hard to find. Mostly campers from the region and not too many transients. Nice place on a peninsula on the lake. Lots of kids on weekends.

Nice campground but lacks amenities. Lots of grassy areas. You need to drive to get to the lake, beach, and other park areas. It sits on a hill and the lake is not visible. Note: Don't plan on any alcohol consumption anywhere in the park except inside your camper. This park polices it with a vengeance. You will get a ticket.

Nice place on hill. Paved roads in campground but short gravel road to reach campground. Nice restaurant next to restrooms and office/store. Large tent area.

Nice family run park on small river. They are very nice/helpful. Has gravel roads. Has a small store with heated showers/restrooms. Cable TV worked well. Good place to camp to see the local sites.

Date of Stay:

Nice place, a lot of sites are terraced from wooded hillside. Tidal water/bay adjacent to lower sites. Restrooms a little rustic. Seemed well maintained.

Date of Stay:

Pros; Very nice people in office, pool, public free bus service in campground to Bar Harbor, clean restrooms. Cons; Electric power very weak. Voltage was dropping below 90. Had to shut off A/C. Open field camping with perimeter trees.

Date of Stay:

Nice established park. Lots of seasonal campers. Can get busy during Speed and Bike Weeks but they handle it OK.
