Kentucky Horse Park Campground, Lexington, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Internal roads are paved, sites are level, paved (very narrow) and grass, and not very easy to back into as the roads are not real wide, facilities worked well, but are located at the back of the site. Staff were friendly, T-Mobile cell service was good 4G LTE. The park was quiet. For the cost they really should have sewer. We would stay here again. We camped at Kentucky Horse Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Haas-Cienda Ranch RV Park, Poplarville, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Internal roads are dirt, rough and narrow, sites are grass, mostly level and ours was a pull-through, facilities worked well. Staff were friendly, most of the sites are for permanent residents. The road to the park was very narrow, probably should be a one-way but I didn't see any signs. T-Mobile cell service was good 4G LTE. The park was quiet. We would stay here again. We camped at Haas-Cienda Ranch RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

City of Rocks State Park, Faywood, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Internal roads are dirt and winding but easily driven with a big rig, sites are dirt, most were not level and could be a challenge to find a suitable site for a big rig. There are some pull-throughs, ours was level, some sites would not be satellite friendly. Staff were volunteers and not overly helpful, you have to go find a site and then fill out a self registration form (with exact payment amount) and put it in the vault. Hint, pick up the form prior to finding your site so you can fill it out on-site and then walk it back. T-Mobile/Tracfone cell service was non-existent on the North side and fair on the South side. The park was quiet. We would stay here again. We camped at City of Rocks State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Anthony/El Paso West KOA (formerly American RV & Marine Resort & Rally, Anthony, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Internal roads are wide and gravel, sites are gravel, mostly level (needed one leveling board) and most are pull-throughs, facilities worked well and are conveniently located. Site was satellite friendly. Staff were friendly, park WiFi is free/unsecured and worked well. T-Mobile and Tracfone cell service was 4G LTE. The park was quiet. The cost is a little much considering it is just a large serviced gravel parking lot. We would stay here again. We camped at Anthony/El Paso West KOA (formerly American RV & Marine Resort & Rally in a Fifth Wheel.

Justin's Diamond J RV Park, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Internal roads are wide and paved, sites are gravel, mostly level (needed one leveling board) and fairly easy to back into, facilities worked well, but are located at the back of the site so you will need longer cords/hoses, site was satellite friendly. Staff were friendly but deal with Christine (owner's wife), park WiFi is free/unsecured and works best in the early morning or very late at night, it's best to bring your own internet solution, T-Mobile cell service was fair to good 4G LTE, same for Tracfone. They do have some activities but not a great abundance like some other parks. The park was very quiet. We were able to move to a nicer site for our final month with no problems. We stayed here for Feb/Mar this year and plan to return for Feb/Mar next year. We camped at Justin's Diamond J RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sunset Palm RV Park, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Internal roads are wide and paved, sites are gravel, level and are spacious, each has a concrete patio, facilities worked well, all sites are satellite friendly. Staff were friendly but check-in took quite a while as they have a new owner and computer system, there is no park WiFi. T-Mobile cell service was poor, I could make calls only, no data, Verizon and AT & T was good. The park was quiet. We would stay here again. We camped at Sunset Palm RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Internal roads are paved, sites are level concrete and fairly easy to back into, facilities worked well, electric/water are located at the back of the site, site was satellite friendly. Staff were friendly, park WiFi worked well, T-Mobile cell service was very good 4G LTE. The park is in the flight path of NOLA International airport, there were some trains/traffic. The free shuttle was great and the driver would have made a good tour guide. We would stay here again. We camped at New Orleans West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
