Twin Lakes Camping Resort, Chocowinity, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is special per week for Thousand Trails members. Very friendly staff. Season does not start until mid April, so pools were not open and campground was somewhat uncared for. Free tour of Boat factory across the street. Sewer is via underground tanks due to high water table and tanks sometimes overflow. New roads in vicinity, so if coming from the south via GPS be sure to get off Hwy 17 onto Bus 17 at Chocowinity or you will miss the park. We camped at Twin Lakes Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice quiet park. 1/2 price ($10) for Passport America for 7 days. Sites well back from road. Very level. Some shaded, some open. Intermittent Verizon data signal. Good over the air TV. Good Verizon phone. We camped at Wishing Well Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Rate shown is for an RV rally including meals, etc. I don't know what they paid the park. Lots of amenities including stores, restaurants, pools, etc. Large development including condo's and park models. Right on the beach. We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Motorhome.
