Comanche Land RV Park (closed), Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

This is a gravel parking lot, but it is excellent for a one night layover. Easy access on and off I-10, but there is traffic noise. I gave it a 6 rating because the owner was exceptionally nice, and the hook-ups were very good. Voltage remained strong with many A/C units running in the park. Notably the sewer was close enough to use my 5' hose which I keep for quick easy clean up at dump stations. Would definitely layover here again. We camped at Comanche Land RV Park (closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

Mama Bear RV Park, Capitan, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small all gravel park right in the center of Capitan. There are a few "permanent" residents. We would not have chosen this park had it not been late in the day. I rated it a 4 because it was over-priced for what you get. We camped at Mama Bear RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ozona Corral RV Park (formerly Circle Bar Super 8 Motel & RV Park), Ozona, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This place reminds one of a drive-in movie of the '60s. Watch out for grass burrs which are everywhere. Could not even get hooked up without embedding 50 or so in my boots. This is an overnight stop only on a long stretch of I-10. If we find ourselves in Ozona again, we will boon dock and save the fee. We camped at Ozona Corral RV Park (formerly Circle Bar Super 8 Motel & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.
