All gravel with lots of mature shade trees. Site #12 very level. Definitely recommend pressure regulator for water. I measured 80 lbs. at the hook-up faucet. There is a small laundry. The machines were dirty, and most were tagged out of service. One dryer took the quarters, but did not work. The campground is easily accessible and very convenient to Great Basin NP. But remember you are in the desert. There is a decent gas station about 10 miles away on Hwy. 50. The small grocery near the campground has an extremely limited selection. No other services. We would stay here again if visiting Great Basin NP.

Very basic small campground with full hook-ups. Easy access. Back-in spaces. A few long term residents. Some road noise during the day. But very quiet at night. We were in site #7 which was level. There is a lower section of the campground with 50 amp hookups & the dump station. Cash only. Self-service pay at the office if no one around. Perfect for overnight stop. Would stay here again.

Staying here for 1 week. Rate based on weekly rate discount. This is a 55+ community with a small group of sites set aside for RV's. Calling ahead for a reservation is definitely recommended. Overall, we have found it to be very neat, clean, & peaceful. Residents are friendly. Some older units, but all are well maintained. The sites are gravel (like 99% of the area), but not dusty. Each site has a good sized paved patio. Interior roads are paved & easy to navigate. The only negative I have found is that the electrical hook-up at this site is 50 amp only. An adapter is necessary for a 30 amp rig. The community is very convenient to the Chandler area. Lots of shopping close by. If you are coming in on the AZ-202 Loop, do not take the Gilbert Road exit unless you are okay with a u-turn to get to the campground entrance. There is no cut in the median across from the entrance. We would definitely stay here again when in the Chandler area.

Okay for an overnight stop, but would not stay any longer. Sites extremely close together & out of level. Electrical box was damaged, and the cover was missing. There was only a 30 amp outlet, no breaker to switch the outlet. Internet is available in the office, but not at the sites. No cable TV. Gravel interior roads. Poorly maintained, out of level red dirt sites. Nice setting in piney woods. But definitely overpriced considering the lack of amenities, poor maintenance, and tight site spacing. Would not stay here again.

Owner has added a new section in the meadow to accommodate long term maintenance workers for the nearby nuclear power plant. Most of the sites in the campground are now long term rentals. The interior roads and trailer pads are gravel. There is a narrow grassy strip with a picnic table separating each of the trailers. No trees or shade. Cable TV was not available.

Older mobile home community with a few rv sites. All back-in sites. Narrow gravel pad. Hard to maneuver into site. Had to unhook to level fifth wheel because pad badly sloped from front to rear. Lots of traffic noise. Hook-ups okay. Strong water pressure (60 psi). Definitely recommend pressure regulator. No WiFi or cable. Would not stay here again.

Good place for an overnight stop. No road or train noise. Easy interstate access. 15% Escapees discount. Gravel interior roads & pads. Easy to navigate in the campground. But pads appear to need some grading to level.

This is a nice family campground in a park setting with lots of young trees. Interior roads are blacktopped. And the gravel pads are level. There is an outdoor pool as well as a smaller heated indoor pool and sauna, and a large clubhouse with kitchen facilities. I would have given it a 5 star rating, except that the internet service is terrible even though there are 2 repeaters with strong signal levels. Connection is extremely slow. And once connected, surfing is impossible. Verizon phone service & mobile data are also weak. The rumble of motorcycles in the morning and at night in the campground was very annoying. I was on Site 15.

This is an average campground. Gravel sites are fairly level. Very little shade. I stayed here at end of season. The campground closes on October 1st. I would have stayed a few more days, but when I registered the owner told me $30 per night included the Good Sam discount. Checking their website later, I found that the advertised rate is $30 before any discount. I was gouged. Buyer beware!

Campground adjacent to interstate, so there is some noise. But with the door closed and air conditioning running at night, we didn't hear a thing. This really is a nice, uncrowded campground for an overnight stop. There is a campground laundry with 2 washers and dryers, also. And the general store/gas station at the front entrance has a deli and hand-scooped ice cream case. I recommend the ice cream. The price reflects the Good Sam discount, and is for a site with full hook-up.

Previous review is accurate. There were some minor potholes in the gravel drive, not serious. The sites are level and actually gravel with encroaching grass. I found the campground very spacious in a quiet park-like setting. There were a few children out playing. Verizon MiFi card worked fine. There is also a boat launch for the river at the campground entrance. This is definitely a nice place to stay. And the price with full hookup is reasonable.

This is a fine campground for an overnight stay, not a destination. We had a water & 30 amp gravel site located in a meadow in the center of the campground. Apparently all of the full hookup sites were occupied by seasonal people and area workers living in the campground. The grass was ankle deep. This campground has potential, but there is a tremendous amount of deferred maintenance. The pool is fenced & abandoned (weeds growing in it!). The buildings on site look derelict. The dump station is functional, but does not have water because the pedestal was damaged but never repaired. There are potholes in the gravel driveway. It is better than parking in a shopping center overnight. And the price is right. Also, there was no problem at all with noise, barking dogs, or loose animals.

Campground is like a parking lot with gravel roads bordered by 32 ft. grass strips on each side for RV parking. Hook-ups are at rear of each back-in site. Rigs over 32 feet long will protrude into roadway. Tow vehicles & toads have to be parked in driveway or on grass next to RV, which takes up space that would normally be the patio. We had 30 amp elec, but the water was not turned on at the campsites. Had to cart water from faucet at front of campground area. New rate for 2011 is $25. The $10 rate is for event participants only. There is no security. Check-in is self-service box at front of campground. No staff on site. We would not stay here again.

Excellent location on the right side of town for visiting the caverns. Level, gravel campground (no grass & dusty) with small trees between the sites. We had a full hook-up site with good water pressure. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a laundry, small store, and game room by the office. Also, there is a heated indoor pool which we did not use. We were able to use Passport America for 50% discount two nights & Escapees for 15% discount the remaining two nights. Definitely recommend this campground for visiting Carlsbad Caverns.

The campground is neat and well maintained with level paved sites and graveled areas between the trailers. The sites also have picnic tables. Water pressure is excellent. Wi-Fi at our site was weak, but usable. Except for the occasional traffic noise we found the campground to be fine as a base camp for visiting the surrounding natural attractions (Aztec Ruins, Mesa Verde National Park, Angel Peak Rec. Area, Bisti Badlands, Durango-Silverton Railway, etc.). Pop was very helpful and friendly. At check-in he gave us a packet of info including a map of area amenities, a day trip guide and map, and a restaurant guide. We would definitely stay here again. If you pay for 3 nights, the 4th night is free.
