Madison / Pittsburgh SE KOA, Ruffs Dale, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stay as we traveled from Ohio to Virginia. There are not many RV parks in this part of Pennsylvania, and there was no alternative based on our route. It was a little tricky to maneuver in a 40' motorhome, as the roads are quite narrow and hilly. We did not use the facilities, so I can't comment on them. The rate quoted is the KOA rate without discount. With the KOA discount it was $49.50, which still makes it overpriced. We camped at Madison / Pittsburgh SE KOA in a Motorhome.

Baileyton KOA (formerly Baileyton RV Park), Greeneville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here as an overnight stop on our way from Alabama to Virginia. Very easy on/off access from I-81. Restrooms were immaculate. Pull-through site required very little leveling. Office staff very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Baileyton KOA (formerly Baileyton RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Mountain Breeze RV Park, Laceys Spring, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while visiting family that lived just a few miles away. It was a nice, quiet park. We had a pull-through site that required little leveling. No amenities here (they do have a laundry and rest room, but it is an old trailer with a bathroom and one washer and dryer). Very nice owners who live on site. We would stay here again when visiting family. We camped at Mountain Breeze RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blue Lake RV Resort, Naples, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice little place right off the highway. Very easy in and out. We had a pull-through site with plenty of room. We stayed here for three nights so we could drive the Selkirk Loop in our car. Great Wi-Fi (one of the best places we've encountered). The trains could be an issue if you really don't like that kind of noise, but we rather enjoyed them and they didn't bother us at all. The owner has worked hard to make this an enjoyable place to stay. He came by our site each night to ask if everything was OK or if we needed anything. Very friendly and eager to please. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Blue Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lake Norman Motor Coach Resort, Sherrills Ford, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice motor coach resort that sits on the banks of Lake Norman. The staff is friendly and live onsite, so there is always someone available. There is 24-hr. gated security. The restrooms are immaculate and beautiful, with granite countertops and private shower suites. This is the second time we have stayed here, and we would definitely come back again if we are in the area. We camped at Lake Norman Motor Coach Resort in a Motorhome.

Murphy/Peace Valley KOA , Marble, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here as a stopover for one night. We arrived after the office was closed and the camp host met us at the entrance. He was expecting us, as I had called ahead to let them know we would be late. He was very friendly and led us to our site. This is a very nice campground in a pleasant setting with a little river running through the middle. Our site was very level. We were in a 40' motorhome. The host explained that all the sites were recently "laser leveled" with a leveling machine. We didn't use the restrooms, but I checked them out and they were very clean. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Murphy/Peace Valley KOA in a Motorhome.
