Whitten Park COE, Fulton, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

This is a COE park and I have found that the parks are as good as the hosts. The host at this park have been here three years. We stayed on space #42 which was a pull-through near the showers. Electric was very good and stayed in green even with A/C on. No sewer but dump station is near entrance and clean. The only negative is the distance from I-22, but then that's good as there was no road noise. The river sites allow you to watch barge traffic. I would stay here again. We camped at Whitten Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Southern Trails Resort, Unadilla, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Previous review was good view of park. Not all sites have cable hookups and I used my antenna and had about 8 channels. This is an overnight park for sure as most attractions are more than 20 miles away. The management is very helpful and willing to assist in any way to make the stay enjoyable. The rate was coast 2 coast and was $0.00. There is no WiFi except in the rec. center and it is good while being slow wireless. There is a printer available. We will stay here again if passing through. We camped at Southern Trails Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Soo Line Trail Campground, Onamia, Minnesota

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is a C2C club membership resort and we actually stayed free. The campground is located right on the Soo Line South Trail which makes it easy for getting right on the trail! It appears the campground has only been around a couple seasons. Showers and bathrooms were clean. Good water pressure and hot water never ran out, a huge plus when you come in dirty from trail riding all day! Has a small game area in lobby, where you can also buy snacks. I would say the only thing this place is lacking is shade and a pool. We camped at Soo Line Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Bee's RV Resort, Clermont, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

The past reviews have covered most of the positive notes. All the roads in the park are paved. This is a very safe park if that is a concern. It is near the Florida turnpike and there is road noise from it and adjacent US 27 which you will hear if you are in the "A" section. This is a place to come to relax, walk and be entertained by the many activities arranged by the camp host. If you don't stay here, but at an adjacent park ( there are two close by) you will want to come for the Tuesday, Thursday and Friday dinners. All you can eat for $10. The rate $0.00 is for C2C premier. We camped at Bee's RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park, White Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here on a Monday and there were about 5 campers. It was hot and not much activity during the week when it is hot (91) and humid. Nice wide sites on fairly level gravel. The roads are all paved and the trees are well trimmed. There are two very clean shower houses and each have two washers and dryers. There is a nice playground and since the park is mainly level, it is great for kids to ride their bikes. It is a couple of miles off the Interstate 75. That is good, as it is very quiet at night, but it is a short drive. I will stay here again. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Guernsey State Park, Guernsey, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Only one campground was open at our visit as the road over the dam was closed during the repair of the dam. The Museum was also closed. The road to the open camp ground is steep and near the railroad tracks. The toilets are dry chemical. I would not stop here until the lake has been refilled. We camped at Guernsey State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Colona's Scott Family Park (Formerly Indian Trails Resort), Colona, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a club membership campground. It has organized activities and a great swimming pool. Sites are on grass and are both pull through and back in. It is off the interstate a couple of miles, so it is quiet. We would stay here again. We camped at Colona's Scott Family Park (Formerly Indian Trails Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Clark Creek North COE, Acworth, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a night stop over. The facilities had many unused sites, but as they were reserved, we were given a site #2 near the entrance and close to the road. They have the cleanest bath houses I have seen in any COE parks. The only possible big rig site would be #1 or #2 as they are level and easy to back into. Most of the sites are on a hill of some type and have a slant entering the site which would place a long vehicle on a slope. I would pass on this park and go a little further into the lake area if I were going to stay for several days. We camped at Clark Creek North COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Gun Creek Campground - COE, Whittington, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This park was closed for a period last year while they installed new roads and full hook ups in part of the park. There are new bathhouses with family showers that combine tollets and showers. It is very convienent for a night stop over. Some of the sites are in need of leveling so I gave it a lower rating. I would stay here again. We camped at Gun Creek Campground - COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Poole Knobs COE, La Vergne, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This COE park is about 13 miles off the interstate, so it is not convenient for a night stop over. The RV sites are on a separate route from tent camping and the showers and toilet is a long walk from the RV sites. They were placed to be available for tenters. The facilities are dated and need updated. While clean, they are old and well used. The trees on the 11 mile road into the park need trimming, so care should be taken on the way in and out. I would not stay here again as it is too far off the main road. We camped at Poole Knobs COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Botna Bend Park (Pottawattamie County Park), Handcock, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice and quiet county park. The sites are mainly grass with a few on gravel. There is only two shower facilities and each have one shower. We were here on a week day and there were only two other campers. It is about 7 miles off the interstate and is a nice overnighter. They have a herd of about 20 Elk and a small herd of Bison. We had two young deer playing about 50 feet from our site. I would stay here again if in the area. It is a great place if you have children. We camped at Botna Bend Park (Pottawattamie County Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Cutty's Des Moines Camping Club, Inc, Grimes, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Past reviews are pretty much current. The WIFI is very slow and only available at the clubhouse. Sites are gravel and need maintenance. The internal roads are dated and rough. Spaces are very tight. The campground is filled with many long term campers. I would stay at a near by COE CG before I would stay here in the future. My C to C Premium rate was $0.00 We camped at Cutty's Des Moines Camping Club, Inc in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Three Forks , Three Forks, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is an overpriced park for W/E. It is clean with trees that need trimming and gravel sites that need leveling. Water pressure and power was aceptable, the price was W/E. Sewer was available on limited sites. Wi-Fi was strong near the office. The pool has not been cleaned or opened when we were there. We were guided to our site. It is very quiet. I would try to find a more economical park if in the area next time. We camped at Camp Three Forks in a Fifth Wheel.
