Granview Recreation Park, Granum, Alberta

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a city recreation park. We found it on our way to Calgary and stayed for two nights. It is a PA park; however they charge full rates on holidays. Gravel roads, semi level sites. Next to a 3 par golf course. Electric did not fade and water preasure was good. Off the main road enough to be quiet at night. There is a Host on site 24/7 to provide security and the RCMP does a drive through if called. I would stay here again. We camped at Granview Recreation Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverview RV Park, Cut Bank, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean park. The owners live on site and provide security. It has a nice view of the river. Good fishing in the river. It is about 47 miles from the east entrance to Glacier Park. Good shopping and restaurants in the town. It is more economical that the parks near St Marys. The roads and sites are gravel. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Shel-Oole Campground, Shelby, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a city park. The sites are old and could use regrading. Our drive through site had a low tree limb and we had to back out. Caution! Watch the tree branches. The bath and showers are old but clean. There is no security other than an occasional drive through by the park worker to pick up the self pay envelopes. Great place to stop overnight. We camped at Lake Shel-Oole Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Shady Rest RV Park, Glasgow, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a campground under renovation. The new owner has redone the landscaping on the upper sites and is working on the office and store area. The sites have been leveled and hook ups are good. The public road into the park could use some work, but the roads in the park are fine. I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Shady Rest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverside RV Resort & Campground, Bartlesville, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This is not a resort campground. It is used by many campers who look like they have been here a long time. The site we had #19 was very tight. We had to step over the hookups of the adjacent camper to get in and out of our RV. I believe this is the site reserved for members of any discount club. We were here three nights and will most likely not stay here again at a discount price in order to get a better site. The shower and laundry facilities are first rate. Power dropped when A/C was running. Use your protection if you have it. We camped at Riverside RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sparda Recreation Area COE, Clarksville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

This was a overnight stop for us. The park is about 3 miles off I-40. Most of the older sites require leveling. The sites on the west area are fairly level. There are several water faucets in the park to fill your tank. Electric power was good. Two trains came by during the night and blew their horns. Local TV is available ( 6 channels). This is our second time stopping for the night and will do it again. I gave it a lower rating because of the conditions of the older restroom facilities. The new shower / toilet facilities are great. We camped at Sparda Recreation Area COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Silver Springs State Park (formerly Silver River State Park), Ocala, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

This is another of Florida's great state parks. It located adjacent to the Silver River and you can rent canoes. Swimming is not recomended due to the gators (not the football ones). The large sites are fairly level and are gravel. The roads are all paved and there are numerous self guided hiking trails as well as Ranger tours. Most sites are shaded and they allow tents as well as RV to share the sites. The park is adjacent to the Silver River glass bottom boats park which in September will become one huge nature park. We will come again. We camped at Silver Springs State Park (formerly Silver River State Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Sheltowee Trace Outfitters, Corbin, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The RV sites are very basic. This is a hikers or white water rafting paradise. They have recently added RV facilities and these will get better. They offer shuttle service to the various hiking locations. It is the best place to stop if you have a big rig and want to visit Cumberland Falls State park as the park is not "Big" rig friendly. Shade is limited and sites are gravel. We camped at Sheltowee Trace Outfitters in a Fifth Wheel.

Azalea Acres RV Park, Robertsdale, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

While not a destination park, it would be if they added a pool. Hosts are great. Only negatives are the gun range that is near by and its noise during the day and the lack of shade trees. Trees will come with age. The WiFi is very good. Sites are grass but level. We will stay here again. Map shows exact location. We camped at Azalea Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Downtown Riverside RV Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

While we were here, I saw a fold out tent trailer on the site, so they must allow these. The walkway and bike path is the big plus for the campground. As a PA we were required to hook up with sewer, water and power on the right side so that we tripped over the hoses as we got out. This is not a problem in the center sites as you can park either direction. On the wall sites ( 43 - 62), you have no option. There is only one each combination bath / toilet for men and women. This is an issue if the park is full. It is a good overnight park. We camped at Downtown Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Settle Inn RV Park, Pawhuska, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

They have added a new recreation building to the park this year. The park is located 2.4 miles south of Pawhuska in a wooded glen. Very quiet and yet convenient to the town and museums. The sites are gravel and fairly level so you will need little effort to set up. They also have two storm shelters, just in case. There is a nice fishing lake within walking distance. We camped at Settle Inn RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Iola RV Park and Storeage, Iola, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Previous review comments are good. The power in the front is very good as is water pressure. Be sure to use a water regulator. The bathrooms and showers are clean but not very private. Wi-Fi is "good" near front near office. We parked near front and by the road and were not bothered by the traffic noise. The park is on the south side of Hwy 54 west of town. There are a couple of fast food places within walking distance. Price reflects a Passport America discount. We would stop here again for a night. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Fifth Wheel.

Fisherman's Corner COE, Hampton, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived mid week and there were many available sites. By Thursday the camp was filling, and on Friday there were no sites available. They do take reservations and I suggest that if you are coming in late week, you need to call ahead. They have one space reserved for active military to stay up to 14 days free. Also in addition to a central bathhouse, they have two chemical toilets at each end of the park. The park is located about 1 mile south of I-80. There is a railroad adjacent to the park, but I never saw a train while here. Most noise is from an adjacent highway 84. We will stay here again. Check in is from 6 to 9 PM. You can ride your bike on a paved bike path that runs from East Moline to Clinton along the Mississippi. We camped at Fisherman's Corner COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Allison Campground, Galesburg, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large City park with mostly tent camping. There a few sites that are designated handicap and have concrete pads. The rest of the sites are on grass. The water hookups will require a 50 ft. hose on several sites. If all sites are filled, the park would be very crowded. I would stop here again but would request a spot between 118 and 128, which are RV sites. The rest of the park is primarily tent sites. We camped at Allison Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
